Hello, I am having a few thoughs which i could use some help with since i seem to be unable to come to a conclusion/answer. So here is my situation: I`ve manage to move to the next level of a relationship with a woman which was my friend for quiet a long period of time (6-7 years or so) however she and most of the woman in my past seem to fit pritty much the same description (more or less) when it comes to certain situations. For example they all think that woman are equal to man and that we should have the same right etc etc etc (which is ok by me although i am perfectly aware that at the end of the day its not like the world is going to follow my oppinion on that subject and submit to my understanding of sex equality) however when it comes to paying the bills, cooking, managing the fire (if we are camping out) making breakfast in the mornings after a long night and so on and so on they seem to agree that this is a man`s job and all they should do is sit back and enjoy the ride. I personaly dont have a problem doing those things however i am beeing greatly bothered by the fact that those same woman seem to have a problem when u discribed this kind of situation with another woman(might be your sister your ex or anyone else) and all of a sudden BOM! Its a bad thing if u have paid the bill or helped them out in any way. The other thing that is bothering me is that in the first moment that person says `i never let a man to pay my bills i am too indipendant blah blah blah` and in the next they not only dont show interest in their `indipendace` but dont seem to appreciate the deed and if i have to be totally blunt and honest sometimes it feels like i am paying for my sex session that way. To make things worse things go down the road the more time i spend with those type of woman for example i get reminded what a huge honour is for me that this woman was thinking about me or calling me when she was out with friends during the weekend but if I do so it seem to be something that i am suppose to do . So here are a few questions i need clear set of eyes on: In general are all woman like that or do i just feel attracted to this kind of woman? How far should i go and where is generaly the limit? Concidering the fact that i had quiet a few bad endings in the past it proves very hard to keep the bar high and comply without smashing the feelings of the other person. In general can this type of a relation ship ever be successful ? All i can see is huge problems in the future with this kind of attitude no matter from which side If anyone had similar experiences i would love to hear about it and if u managed to find some kind of a middle ground or solution.
I find it perfectly understandable to feel that way toward duplicity (or, hypocrisy); and that is why I take it upon myself to reward specifically consistent behavior from whomever it may be. In addition, I feel by rewarding duplicity one pays in more currencies than one.

i know what u are saying like my father uses to says in the past `there is no such thing as a free lunch` and live teach us that lesson again and again and again and again until u pritty much accept the concept of the idea just to be squashed by the fact that for some ppl (mostly woman) free lunch is not a part of a fairy tale but a part of their lifes. Still that doesnt really change the fact how bitter it tastes when u sort through out all the facts u are facing in your daily life. RooRshack - thanks for the link i appreciate your help
Actually, I`ve felt like it`s more than free lunch what some women seemed to expect of me in the past. Some of the women I`ve met in the past feigned to expect free lunch, a chauffeur, body-guard, sponsor, electrician, plumber, mechanic, bell-boy, psychoanalyst, and wanted to make a follow-around puppy, sex-toy, and trophy out of me (with "a ring on it") to show off to family and friends... Well, to me paying for sex (or, even being single) is a dream scenario compared to such gender double-standards, and I will do that before I reward any of it. There is a good number of guys who like to suck up to women; you seem to be a different kind of man. And, if I may voice my opinion, worth more than what you currently have. Good luck.
Welcome to the typical american female. Walk away now. She is not worth the headache. There are still actual ladies out there. They're rare in this country in a lot of areas, but they are out there. There is no "we" in independent. Once she uses that word, walk away. She is not telling you that she is independent. She is telling you that she's selfish. And always pay more attention to actions over words.
Ha ha ha ha Cherea u made my day i guess it could be worse than what i have atm but then again i never seem to enjoy statisfaction from the whole `it could be worse` thing because it can always get worse some how and in some way. Maybe things arent as bad as i felt they were after all but u are right its pritty simple where i am standing and what i have to do thank you for your thoughts ^_^.
