SWIM has been taking pain killers for about 7 years now. At first it was on and off, SWIM never developed a steady habit until about 3 years ago. SWIM is getting tired of blowing all of his/her money and being dependent on a substance. SWIM is also tired of going through withdrawals.
Well anyways, last year, SWIM was diagnosed with a growth on his/her lower spine that's pinching a nerve and got prescribed Vicodin 7.5/750. SWIM was on 120 of them a month for 9 months, then the doctor did an MRI and the MRI showed nothing (yet you can feel the growth about the size of a golf ball on his/her back). SWIM's doctor decided that since it didnt show up on the MRI she wasnt comfortable prescribing any more medication and referred SWIM to a pain management doctor. Well SWIM doesnt have insurance and cannot afford a specialized doctor, so SWIM self medicates with whatever SWIM can find, whether it's hydrocodone, oxycodone, hydromorphone, anything. Especially since SWIM has developed a VERY steady habit over the last 9 months. Well now SWIM is tired of spending money on drugs, and SWIM wants to get off them.
SWIM obtained a Suboxone pill the other day, and waited until he/she went into hard withdrawals before taking it. Mind you, SWIM has only taken Suboxone once before about 4 years ago.

Mainly, SWIM was wondering how long after taking the 8mg suboxone will a lorcet 10/650 be able to take effect. SWIM is currently weening and the suboxone was just because SWIM couldnt find anything else. While the suboxone did curb withdrawals and caused a little buzz. SWIM is in pain now 12 hours after the suboxone dose. SWIM was wondering if he/she took the lorcet now, if it would be effective, or just be a waste, and if it would be a waste, how long would SWIM have to wait until he/she could take the lorcet?

SWIM appreciates any help, and hopes all of this makes sense.
    Thank you.

Well swim is saying, its his/her first time taking it in 4 years. Swim took one pill today. So swim should wait 48 hours before taking another opiate?

If you are in withdrawals, taking the lorcet at whatever dose your body is used to should bring you staight out of withdrawals because its obvious you dont have enough Sub left in your system to help with anything including stopping the affrects of other opiates. I mean you only did one.
