heya all ye dread heads!! Lemme see your decorations, your adornments... how do you make YOUR dreads feel special??? Here are mine: -The wooden one with the flower painted on it i bought while traveling from Barcelona. -The large light wooden bead is from an old jumper. It is on my very first dread and i had it 8 months before the others, it began as a felt dread which as it grew out dreaded itselfand that bead began on the felt and then when the felt fell out i put it onto the actual hair. -The one with the blue wool and small glass blue bead was Dandelionblood's dread. She chose it and decorated it for me.. over time the decoration has slipped but ive not secured it by crocheting my hair through the wool. -the small purple one is a clip on one i bought when i first came to brighton with Jaycee. -All the small dark brown wooden ones were sent to me by InBloom from canada -The large dark brown wooden one with stars engraved on it Jaycee gave me and put on his fave dread. - The purpley wool is what my whole head used to be covered in before dreads. -The wrap was from beautiful days festival, all of us (even boys) had a wrap done each and mines still here.
Ohhhhhh yay!!!! im gonna love this thread.. i just need to get a hold of a camra again!! many many dread decorations!!!!
i just let them be. i used to have a few beads in them, but kinda got tired of it. i am thinking about this one thing though - a friend of mine blows glass and makes these spiral things that you kinda corckscrew onto the dread, so it just wraps around it. i havent seen them yet, but i think i may buy one.
Thats cool that you leave them to be them. It seems though my dreads collect things... they like to be decorated
I have a glass ring i traded for a glass bowl i blew.... i have a wodden bead that looks like a bee hive... a bead on top that is just plain small and wood.... and a ring i made out of wire and a purl... i will post pics for you later!

I was camping on Salt Spring with sara, and once we got back to Fullford bay to take the ferry across, i went to a little beautiful bead sore and got this bead 4)This is a shitty picture! its a small version of 9, It's the bead my friend Logan gave me when i finished my dread's..... its gone now.. i lost it to the ocean washing my hair one day... but it was it's to go 5)lol oh yeah found this bead at a party then just below that bead is some yellow wrap and a nother home made blass bead 6)This wrap i got leaving one of the most incredible experiences iv ever had 7)This wrap was given to me by Ezra from salt spring. we were at a poh gathering just off of Quadra island.. lenaya Farm..... during that amazing experience 8)This was done at the same place by a girl which i just dont remember her name. i feel really bad when i dont remember name's but its just soo hard some times hahaha 9)This Bead was my first bead i ever got, given to me by Stephanie when we were at the fairy farm with the most beautiful people. 10)This bead is dreaded into my hair also, and was given to me by the same healer 11)This is just a bone bead that was in a box of bead’s… its just kind of there 12)I was walking down cook st. and I picked up a walnut! Out a hole in it put it on my hair. I am obsessed with decore an dreads. I have a bead, or something wraped in my hair on almost every dread. I have: one teal fabric knot one striped black and white bead one orange wrap one mushroom wodden thing i tied into my dread four plastic little braclet beads a plastic buda bead two buttons a duck bead a shamrock a wooden flower bead and two danglys- one a hockey player, the other a polished rock from my gma. and I am still adding stuff <3
