apparently i didn't explain thoroughly to the old man how to watch the butter while i went to market and it was completely burnt when i got back because all the water had boiled off so it fried black. the problem is i was making this as a favor for his friend, it's his friend's bud, and i have no way to replace it should i even bother cooking with the burnt stuff?
depends on how burnt it is... the first time i made brownies we used vegetable oil and burnt it a bit. it still worked well, but it wasn't burnt too bad and it was oil instead of butter so it might be a bit different.
herb is toasted and butter is dark basically like cooking with resin i'm guessing is it going to suck?
it might not taste great, but I'd think it would still work. you might lose some potency but i think it would be worth it.
Burnt? possibly vaporized all the actives from it.. is it still greasy?. If so it may still be active., but as someone said lost potency.
Ya, got ahold of the benefactor and he told me to go ahead I ate 1/8 of the batch. the taste was hardly noticable. Potency may have been reduced, but certainly not a total loss
