    I'm considering living in a van...
    It's part of my general "mid life crisis"

    Can you suggest a specific van that is as most "house-like" as possible?

    just get a long wheel based one, rase the floor a bit to make storage under neath, and if u fip out the roof lineing u will find evan more room, the trick is to save as much space a possabile, if ur liveing in a cold area u might want to keep the heat in also,
