Five months ago Bank of America filed foreclosure papers on a house that was bought with cash. Well the case eventually went to court and the owners of the house didn't even have a mortgage.

The courts now wanted the Bank to pay legal fees. Since that wasn't happening the Attorney, Police, and of course the homeowners went to the bank, and foreclosed on it, taking everything out of the bank including the money in the tellers desks!

    Video and the article here.

About fucking time something happened to the banksters. Funny how they ignored all correspondence and ignored the court order to pay the expenses- wouldn't that constitute contempt of court or something? I have little doubt that if I were ordered to pay restitution and refused I'd be looking at some extra legal expenses plus a possible vacation at Club Lockup.

This is what should happen to all the big banks. The PEOPLE should foreclose on them for having ripped everyone off!

I'm very happy to see that law enforcement cooperated.

If every person who knew where every penny of theirs went through the bank i bet you this kind of situation would happen each week. You know this is not the first time the bank has fucked someone over, its just getting people to realize that Bank of America is a fucking thief. I hope this kind of news wakes people up to research the evil banksters and make sure they are not getting fucked over, even if they are not part of Bank of America. This should wake everyone up including those who use, Wells Fargo, JPMorgan, SunTrust, Citigroup, Capitial One, Credit Union, Central, US Bank. They are one in the same, time to wake up people!

I would have given anything to be the lawyer on that case. As a retired lawyer, I'm going to print off this story and hang it on my wall.

I'm so glad we work with a local bank. It's more honest than the national chains, since everybody knows you personally. The only problems we've had have been genuine clerical errors.

I got screwed over by US Bank before, though, to the tune of a month and a half's salary when I was living paycheck to paycheck. I lost my apartment and car over it. Fuckers.

This seriously sounds like a WIN WIN SITUATION for the owners of the house.

The only thing unfortunate here it seems that no one had the fore sight to RENT A LARGE EXCAVATOR and REMODEL THE BANK with THE EXCAVATOR.

For those of you that do not know about large machinery an EXCAVATOR is usually a large caterpillar tracked earth moving machine. The engine, operators cab, booms, bucket and sits atop a pivoting mechanism that rotates a full 360 degrees. To watch a proficient operator work his machine to the maximum efficiency is quite thrilling even to the casual spectator. To watch an excavator tear a bank a new butthole would really be something. If you don't believe me just ask a journeyman heavy equipment operator. They are tasked with knowing the ins and outs of around forty different machines. :D

that is a great article and great message to people regarding fairness. i'm happy for them, they did the right thing.

i watched law abiding citizen last night and enjoyed it, this story reminds me of what the character was proclaiming in the film - that the law system is sometimes ridiculous.

Wells Fargo tried to screw me once.

I had done a 'side job' for this guy. When we had talked I quoted him my price and that he was to pay me in cash. He agreed.
After I was finished and he was pleased with the job I did I went to collect. He starts to write me a check. I reminded him of our deal. He reneged and said it was a check or nuttin. I took his check half expecting it to bounce to the moon.

Wells Fargo gave me a big song and dance about my not having an acct with them and to take the check to MY bank. I told them I was on good terms w/my bank and was determined to keep it that way. This check was written on their bank therefore in my mind it should 'clear' faster keeping said check 'in house' as it were. They continued to stonewall me. I looked this puke bank manager in the eye and said quietly I'm not leaving without my cash. He made some phone calls and did some tricks on his computer. He wrote a note for me to hand the teller. Five minutes later I was walking outside with my lousy $25 or fifty bucks....this was way back in 1994 when this happened.

Is there a moral to this story? You can bet your sweet ass there's a moral here.
#1 I NEVER WORKED FOR MR PAYS BY CHECK AGAIN!!!
#2 I WILL SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE BURNING WELLS FARGO!! FUCK EM!!
