I took one blot and I tripped for over 24 hours (about 48 hours actually). I took it at 6pm, it hit me around 8pm. I was outside, the nature seemed really beautiful. Then when I went back home, there was a party at my place and I freaked out so I locked myself in my room. I kept thinking I would become a schizophrenic and I would become a mental patient. That night in my room, my perception of time completely changed. I looked at my imac clock and it kept going back and forth in time. Minutes would seem like seconds then a minute would seem like 3 hours. I had VERY VERY strong visuals. I freaked out and called my sister and she told me I was very funny and I felt more comfortable again. Then I turned on itunes visualizer and spaced out with some music. I stared into the screen ALL NIGHT until I finally fell asleep at 8am. When I woke up I felt extremely paranoid, like something was very very wrong with me. I didn't have any visuals or anything anymore when I woke up around 12pm but that entire day I felt like I was mentally disturbed. I talked to my dad and he told me I'd be ok but that I should never touch these drugs ever again. After I slept that night around 11pm, the next day I felt like a NEW person. I felt very confident and that's when I felt like my trip officially ended. Anyways, I'm wondering what exactly happened? Was it LSD or something else? Did I have an ego death? It's been one year and I feel like I've returned to my original self, somewhat paranoid and akward but for 1 year I was very confident. Anyways, I am very tempted to try LSD again but I am afraid that I might trigger schizophrenia. I keep hearing people say that its a myth and that LSD can never do that, but in some sources I read that LSD can trigger latent schizophrenia... What do you guys think? Thanks!
Im not medically qualified but from reading your post it definitely seems like you should maybe steer clear.
Why should I stay clear? I am very very tempted to do it again because although it was scary, I felt like it changed me for the better.... it's not possible to become schizophrenic is it? Anyways, what is RC? How can you tell the difference between RC and LSD?
Well from reading your original post it gave the impression you had had a negative experience. RCs are not for me i want the real shit
The fact that you had lasting effects for so long leads me to believe that what you had was a DO(x) chemical. They have very long durations and are commonly passed off as LSD. One thing that will usually give it away is a metallic taste from the blotter. Also it does not glow in ultra violet light like LSD. RC means Research Chemical, btw. If you are afraid of getting fake acid again I suggest: http://www.eztest.com/dir2/ez-test-ehrlich-for-lsd-and-other-indoles/ It's a reagent test kit for LSD.
why do you think it was a do(x) chemical? my friend and i both took 1 blot each. it didn't taste like anything and i got it from a reliable person... anyways, my friend didn't trip much at all so im wondering if im just hypersensitive?
There is no way to really tell since you are new to the scene and it wasn't tested. Try another print sometime and see what happens? Some people just can't handle psychedelics. Also remember that set and setting will make or break a trip.
the last thing I want to do. Is waste LSD on a testing kit.. / I have testing kit right there in my tongue./. If you so kindly will place it there., I will have your results in a few hours..
Its good for newbies that buy shit from shady people or create apprehension within themselves that would ultimately cause a freak out. I don't own one myself but I have gotten DO(x) blotter. The taste and the fact that it takes 3 hours to come on was a red flag and thanks to my hobby of learning about various chemicals, I knew what it was.
It sounds like whatever was on that blotter was far too much for you. You should consider perhaps starting with less difficult psychedelics like MDMA or a 2c-x if you can find them. And as was already said, some people are just not able to handle psychedelics at all. I'm not sure if this is the case for you, because i noticed your SETTING was also TERRIBLE. I imagine your set was just as poor for a first time with LSD. It is not a party drug man. It is serious business. You have to be strong and healthy to handle it, and in an environment conducive to a deep psychedelic opening. Locked in your room with a party downstairs is one of the worst places I could think to be high on LSD.
i started outside in the nature. it was amazing!!! i saw the beauty of whatever drug it was. i really think it was lsd not dox or whatever. anyways around 12am when we headed back home (i lived in a frat house), there was a huge party and i freaked out so i went upstairs to my room. of course i got paranoid but after it subsided i felt completely content in my room because the visuals were amazing... it was like it opened my mind and my pupils dilated so much i couldnt see my iris anymore. the only hallucination i got was from the time clock from my macbook, i kept going back and forth in time and my subjective experience of time also changed accordingly. it wasnt until 8am when i couldnt sleep that i freaked out and thought i would go crazy... so essentially the experience was like heaven and hell
I don't believe it's possible for LSD to last 20 or 48 hours. http://www.maps.org/books/mpc/chapter5.html#4
A person goes into a manic state after LSD and they believe they are still tripping.. longer than the duration the drug is active..
^^^ Whether or not it's true, that makes solid sense. So many questions answered with that one. +1 rep orison
