What band (or performer) do you listen to when you want to relax?

for some reason when im pissed off or really depressed tool or APC relaxes me...when im happy and wanna relax anyway its usually sublime, but theres so much more i could list

 

right now im listenin to jack johnson, spearhead gets me in a nice relaxed mood, along with the GD of course, and pink floyd... im sure there are others....bt im too stoned to think

oh I disagree completely, it sounds good, you cant deny that, and they are a group of very talented artists (in my opinion anyway) I love their cover of Imagine, Annihilation and 'Fiddle And The Drum'

what kind of stations are they playing it on anyway, I havent heard it on the radio yet.....

 

I usually listen to JGB or Garcia/Grisman if i want to relax...spritz my house with chamomile/lavender oil and rub a bit of lavender oil under my nose and i'm good to go.

Actually, its really a process, depending on how I feel and the intensity of that feeling
such as if Im depressed I love to listen to the Offspring's "The Kids Arent Alright" and actually, I just heard the Verve Pipe in the first time in years I still love that song The Freshman and only occasionaly now Manson will do
or just in a blah mood usually anything will just about do
when Im on a mission to get something done I love 80s and 70s music (druggie and/or protest music)
if Im pissed or on almost any high, heavy metal is just about the only thing that does it like Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan, Deftones, Evergreen Terrece (SP?) just to name a few

 

pink floyd's learning to fly always relaxes me but I like enya and sade if I am really stressed out if you already have kiddies they tend to dig enya too. Oh and since your pregnant the have all these baby mozart tapes that were produced after the books and cd's for babies and the tracks are supposed to stimulate neurological development in the fetus so you can play them for your baby too

 

I actually find Dance music quite relaxing.... Any mix by Sasha or tunes from Steve Lawler gets me floating, chemical brothers, Groove Armada etc etc

 

it depends on what kind of mood im in. If i am pissed off and need to relax i will listen to marilyn manson, slipknot,mudvayne, etc. if i am mellow and want to just relax even more than i am i will listen to sarah mclachlan, and r&b.

 

Gd is a must. Their music always helps me relax.

I've been really into jazz lately, or lounge\acid jazz stuff... The Cafe Del Mar collection is amazing.

 

I love their version of the Imagine, it's more tragical, more dramatic, more like the world in which we live nowadays.
