i like to have sex on my period, but it's...messy. so i usually don't. also, whenever i hang out with or live with another female for a while they always have their period the same time i do. i have made some extremely irregular women regular.

and doesn't the whole period with the moon have something to do with how the moon controls the tide?

Maybe all these women are controlling the phase of moon with their periods?

If the moon were all that powerful, women wouldn't need other women to make their periods regular! Women's periods vary a lot, so there's no reason to think the moon has any effect--it ought to affect all women the same, and it obviously doesn't.

Never under-estimate the power women hold with that magical portal between their legs..

There is no dark side of the moon really.
Matter of fact it's all dark.

That doesn't demonstrate the power of women, but the weakness of men.

No it doesn't. What I'm referring to has very little to do with what you're thinking. It has to do with the magical nature of the universe,
and the universal feminine force (yin). :sultan:

    Lol.

My cycles used to be horrifically irregular, but I used the pill for several years to even them (and settle my boyfriend/fiance/husband's nerves). I'm off of it right now, forgot to refill my prescription before the dispensary closed for the holidays. I tried to keep my cycle so that it would line up with the full moon, as I read that women were more powerful when that happens (pagan thing, don't ask). I did notice that when the FM coincides with the day of the heaviest bleeding, my cramps and PMS through that cycle were easier. But this has more to do with tides and fluids than any mysticism. It's the only lunar link that I can find with any credibility.

There are ways to alter the cycle, sort of.

Oh, and on my cycle (we jokingly refer to it as "recharging" my system) I find myself hornier than ever. Unfortunately, I lose almost all of my sensation downstairs. I can feel touch, but with no sexual pleasure whatsoever. If I am somehow able to get off, I can only do it solo and it's immediately followed by nasty, nasty cramps. Most of my PMS frustrations stem from this, though not all. And every woman has a different reaction to her cycle.

Yes, it's true that women's periods for the most part sync up with eachother and used to be in tune with the moon when we were more primitive living mostly outdoors under natural lighting.

Artificial lighting, pill birth control, stress and staying up at night and being around different women at different times has allowed it to 'jump around'.

This archetypal menstrual period came on with every new moon and also represented a period of behavioral withdrawal and inner reflection; while the woman was at her optimal condition for conception and sociability during full moons. Women tend to show more skin when they are ovulating. This subtle change in behavior is perceived negatively today as 'PMS' and 'hot in the ass' respectively.

There is a book on it:

Well, periods vary a huge amount naturally. Some women have 3 week cycles, some 4 and some 5 week cycles, and all these are within normal range. Periods can also be skipped in times of stress or can come "early" or "late" depending on natural factors like diet, late, early or lack of ovulation, anxiety or recent pregnancy or miscarriage. I'm sure you know all these things, but the point is that the moon sync thing is pretty much a myth. Cycles are not naturally perfectly regular all the time. When you get a run of regularly spaced periods you might notice the moon is at the same phase each time, but that's unlikely to last very long.

I agree with fingermouse, My period has always been entirely unpredictable so I started birth control to fix that and while it helped, my cycle will still start early and late just not quite as drastically. I believe every woman has her own cycle though women who are close do "sync" up if you will. I also heard that dominant women will set the cycle and non-dominant women will adjust to that cycle, I don't know if this is true though.
