Yes... you've most likely seen me parading around these forums. I just bought a Guild JF30-12, 12 string three weeks ago and what caused me to buy it was the local 12 stringer here by the name of Keller Williams. Well, technically, the JF-30 he plays is a 10 string as he takes two off for sharper harmonics. I've ran into him once, as well. I love his style... I did miss the norva show this year. Oh, plus anybody into him who has a messenger serviece, I did a song in the same style as him...flugel horn and all at the end. I just wanted to get some reviews on it as well from people who are moreso experienced with the Jam-Man genre. It's in a .wav file and I don't have anything to convert to MP3 at the moment or else I'd put it on soundclick. I just recorded it about 20 minutes ago and came out with some pretty good results. The only thing is, that I didn't multitrack or edit, I did it all in one run... no drums or bass or anything. No loops. Credit Card Song... "Look at him in his Brooks Brothers suit Taylor made Italian wool ‘Round his wrist look at this Rolex watch The ring ‘round his finger is a 12 carrot rock These are all things he could never afford But that was before He had a platinum credit card He don’t pay a thing, it all goes to his charge You know when you're not an executive, life ain’t really that hard With a Platinum credit card In the mail he gets bills every day In bright red letters say “30 days to pay” He tears them up and throws ‘em in the trash can I guess they’ll all be found by the repo man ‘Cause he's packing his suits, his rings, and his new stereo He's going to Mexico Thanks to his credit card He don’t pay a thing, it all goes to his charge You know life ain’t really that hard When you have a Platinum credit card He has a Platinum credit card He don’t own a thing but he lives like a czar You know life ain’t really that hard With a Platinum credit A Platinum credit A Platinum credit card He's got a Platinum Credit-No Payments Till the Millenium- Zero Interest-Plated with Titanium Custom designed with bright red geraniums Maxxed out credit card Y'know, life ain’t really all that hard With his Platinum credit card"
keller is a fucking psycho on the guitar. saw him for the first time last week, never seen anything like it but whats he like in person? you said you have met him and all. id really like to know
A freak. haha. Well, seems quite normal, yet rather quirky. I've managed to catch a few small local shows and managed to catch him at one while he was smoking a cigarette. I didn't say much but asked him a couple little technical things... and he did some flugle. I'm perfecting the art. He's so much like himself but a lot like Leo Kottke and Jerry thrown into one guy. Haha.
I can convert that wav to mp3 for you if you need. The only stuff by Keller Williams I've ever heard so far is actually this year's Norva show (wasn't there; got it off etree). I really like it, though.
