I enjoy benzos, overall each of them has their base effects. Always sedation, less inhibitions, overall just feeling more comfortable in my enviornment, less keyed up so to speak less of an edge. Each I build a quick tolerance too, everyone is different but I gain mine after a few doses. The thing is each one of them is different, has a different feel to it.

Diazepam(Valium) makes me overall groggy and apathetic, I can fight the sleep but usually I just want to lay down. If I fight the sleep I turn I just feel dopey and goofy. If you just want to laze around on the couch for a day, then this would be good. Good for insomnia.

Clonazepam(Klonopin)- Weak to me, I had a day where I took 10 milligrams, the green generics. Then about 3 hours later took 5 more, then I took the remaining 30 something that night. I thought I would die, but I woke up fine. I guess it's because the few days before I had built up a tolerance. I don't really feel much at all, I do like the minty taste Klonopin has. It's good for just overall feeling on edge, because it builds up in your system and the effects merge into your life over time.

Lorazepam- This is my favorite, but as the others I gain too much of a tolerance. I don't feel overly sleepy, nor too bad uninhibited. It just helps me be in the moment and not have racing thoughts or feel the edge. To me it's like feeling "normal". I think this is good for job interviews, first dates, just a situation where you need to be chilled out for a bit to get over the nervousness until you work your way into being comfortable without it.

Alprozolam (Xanax)- I don't really get much out of them. Supposedly their good for panic attacks, just to kick in when you're freaking out real bad, I just don't feel much for them.

anyone else notice the differences between each one?

yes, really. they all have a slightly different feel too them. Though I do agree, I would rather take a few pills than have to taste alcohol!

Benzos tend to make me really tired, I usually end up falling asleep.

Most I've taken is 2mg of Aprolozam..? Don't understand how people can dose 10mg and stay awake.

Good descriptions, my good sir, I can't help but to entirely agree.

My old gf was a pharmie and we would sample from her wide selection from time to time. A bowl and a Xanax is a combo fit for a chillllllllllllllled king

they build up a tolerance. personally, 2mg of lorazepam (ativan) knocks me out pretty quickly. most i've done at once is 3mg of xanax and i managed to stay awake for about an hour, then slept for 5 or 6... haha.

I share your opinion of Ativan, I found it extremely relaxing. It's like sitting on a lawn chair on a sunny summer day with a breeze and a gentle mist covering you. The only problem I had with it, is the fact that tolerance is rapid. After 2-3 weeks of taking 2mg+ daily it almost loses it's usefulness. For that reason it's generally prescribed for short-term/occasional usages whereas Klonopin, Xanax, and Valium are usually prescribed for daily use.

Ativan seems to have much less "euphoric" properties compared to Klonopin and Xanax, but I would still would consider it to be just as addictive because it has similar compounds. With that being said, I've had brutal withdrawals from stopping Ativan, not on the level as pain pill withdrawals but pretty damn close.

Ativan makes everything seem so simple and easy for me. no complications, it calms me down real nice. tolerance always goes up fast for any benzo for me whatever it may be, hate it. what kind of withdrawal symptoms did you get?

Not just "build" a tolerance, but some people just naturally have a higher tolerance.

freedom man ive tried the four you mentioned in addition to temazepam and triazolam. like you said all the benzos have a similar base effect. but each one has a slightly different feel to them. the other major difference is how long they last. example xanax = short acting, ativan = intermediate, klonapin = longer duration. ive done them all so much they all seem very similar to me.

but let me put this out there. if anyone here ever has a chance to try triazolam jump on it. its very euphoric compared to the others.
