I was kicked out of micky dee's yesterday I don't normally go barefoot into businesses cause I know there gonna give me shit. But this time it was raining like crazy, there was at least 3 inches of water on the pavement. Didn't feel like walking around in slippery squishy shoes the rest of the day, so I went for it. They didn't notice till I already had my food though so the operation was technically a success:devil:
I was told to leave a museum after having been inside for an hour. People can be such shits. BUT GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!
I've never been kicked out of anyplace. The UK is too barefoot friendly for that, and virtually all comments are positive.
I've never been asked to leave any establishment yet, but then again I'm particularly new to barefooting. I'd assume I will be kicked out sometime in my life though. Unfortunately I Can't go barefoot outside home 6 months of the year either, because of Minnesota weather. At least it makes me appreciate going barefoot more~
Not been kicked out either, although a security guard had a go when I was leaving Tesco once. Like John, mainly positive experiences here in the UK
Yes on the whole no probs here in UK. Tesco do seem to have a problem with it though. Have had several encounters at different branches. Never had any probs at Sainsbury's, Morrison, or Asda. Have on occasion seen others barefoot in all of these, but never in Tesco, so they're pretty zealous. There was an article a while ago about how a barefooter was banned from one of Tesco's Welsh stores. Obviously they are so rich they don't need his custom.
Yes it's inevitable at some point. It can make you feel annoyed and/or a bit silly because it attracts attention to you. When it happens you have to remember there are plenty of others who think as you do, and you've done nothing wrong, and not let it put you off.
Yep: I compiled that entire section together in one document and printed it. Not that it may help, but I carry it around along with my completely-redone-from-scratch [last October 2010] version of this.
A roller rink hahah they had a laser tag area that was pretty dark so my ex bf and I had a mercy make-out session since the opposite team sucked so badly. But little did we know they had security cameras.... that someone actually watched lol. We were escorted out of the building. Hilarious
sorry didn't realize this was about going barefoot. I just click the new post section and thought this was about getting kicked out of anywhere for any reason lol... funny story though...
Ive never been kicked out of anywhere ive gone into barefooted. I was asked by a sunoco/Aplus store employee to have shoes on next time. That was about it. Went into mcdonalds with no shoes on twice and had no issues.
From a disco club. it was some serious kicking out indeed, a train of obese private guards literally rammed me, and my shod friends too for good measure, out of the building with the gentleness of a stampeding herd of brontosauri burn that mother down :afro::devil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_sY2rjxq6M"]The Trammps - Disco Inferno - YouTube
Sorry I don´t agree. I´ve been kick out of different places and told off (sometimes nicely sometimes not). Sorry no ofence for the ladies, I don´t want to sound sexist, but it´s way easy for the girls (specially th good looking ones).
I and a friend of mine, were kicked out of an all-you-can -eat joint in Waikiki. They let us eat when we put on our swim fins. Kinda ridiculous floppin' around with 'em,but we got to eat.
Going barefoot into stores is TOTALLY a matter of luck or circumstance. When PEOPLE are in charge (and when not?), it's CHAOS out there. But by all means, give it a try. Feels great!
I was recently (though politely) asked to leave a water temple in Glastonbury (because it was 'due to close') - mind you I had been mantra meditating for 40 minutes
Was that the White Spring temple? It would be utterly ironic to be kicked out of a place to worship the powers of Nature for being barefoot - which means, being in contact with Her... However, their public opening hours are rather short, indeed, since they open only three hours on five days a week (closed mondays and thursdays)... I would try to find out, if it was indeed closing time, or if they kicked you out for being barefoot. If the latter really is the case, their message "Individuals and groups from all Spiritual paths and traditions who come in peace are welcomed." is a sham - bare feet are peaceful, after all.
