Franticly searching my mind but the words elude me. Words wanting to be found but are lost forever, lost in the tidal wave of nothingness. Somewhere in this tangled web of vocabulary the thoughts lie. They sit, unsaid and unheard. To speak now would only be a waste. An effort to understand them would only confuse. This mash up of consonants and vowels, this series of noises, the rolled r's and lispy s's are released in hopes of anyone with understanding to be in earshot. The written word has lost all meaning to the huddled masses warming themselves by the glowing tv-side. Flashing words in neon colors scroll across their screens. Cartoon men in cartoon worlds living cartoon lives fixing drama with solution in less than an hour have jumped off their screens and stolen our minds. Words have lost meaning within the lies spun by tight suited men who spew them from the jowls of the corporate and political machine. To say that words mean nothing would mean nothing.
"Flower Shower," from Zen Flesh, Zen Bones: Subhuti was Buddha's disciple. He was able to understand the potency of emptiness, the viewpoint that nothing exists except in its relationship of subjectivity and objectivity. One day Subhuti, in a mood of sublime emptiness, was sitting under a tree. Flowers began to fall about him. "We are praising you for your discourse on emptiness," the gods whispered to him. "But I have not spoken of emptiness," said Subhuti. "You have not spoken of emptiness, we have not heard emptiness," responded the gods. "This is the true emptiness." And blossoms showered upon Subhuti as rain.
Scary how true this is, and yes we all know it even if we don't think about yet we don't care or rather avoid to care. Nice piece Moe
