How does one tell the quality of heroin?

I'm an occasinal user and was intrested to know what good Horse looks like. The stuff I get is extremley hard, like i can just break off a peice as apposed to sticking a saftey pin in it and melting it off. It gets me nice and turfed but I'm not a regular user of any opiates so I dont know if its bomb. Lemme know what you guys think, thanks.

 

Theres all kinds of good dope. Theres good tar, powder, rocks, and so on. Best way to tell is to sample a small amount off of it, small enough to not od, preferably insufflated because that way you wont risk od'ing as much of a little. I didn't think it was possible to od on one bag and thought it was all movies and tv until some guy I bought from said his boy fell off from one. That shit was a little pebbly and it took me like 2 bags to get fucking blasted, 2 2/3s to brown out. But yea, the less it takes, the better it is and its hard to tell if the cut is appropriate. At least thats my experience, with dope its hit or miss thankfully I've never gotten anything too shit and wasn't fiending so it wasn't the end of the world.

So let me ask again, How does one tell the quality of tar H?

 

ususally if its really hard and/or brittle its a sign that its high quality tar. i its all gooey and soft usually means theres more of a cut. you have to be conscious of the ambient temperature tho. im down in texas where it goes over 100 degrees on most days during the summer. thatll turn the best tar into a puddle lol. this method is not a hundred percent reliable but ive found that tar quality tends to go by this trend.

but like beatnick said the only way to be sure is to just try a little.
