That's right, I've completed the first summer dress of the year and can't wait to get some warm weather to show it off! Had fun playin around in photoshop, but here she be... It's actually made of 3 separate parts sewed together (Not patchwork, just bad-ass fabric :afro: The bust which has 4 pleats and tortoise shell O's to connect the strap The middle And the skirt which is a square so it lays all asymmetrical-like I'm so proud! Whatchya think?
I like it a lot! lovely colors. i make some dresses too by my own hands it's fun and can get very personality look.
Haha! THanks guys! It didn't take very long at all to make...about 3 hours? But it was also the first time I actually pre-measured, sketched, and did all the calculating to make sure the pieces all fit together And yeah, making stuff yourself is always so rewarding! Unfortunately, I always feel a little self-conscious wearing stuff I made...It's kinda like you're wearing your art ya know? Haha, idk, I'm ramblin
That is awesome!!!!!! 3 hrs isn't too bad either!!! One day I hope I can do something like this, far from that though. Inspirational, and awesome!! You should NOT be self-conscious wearing that in public, it's beautiful!
i really need to get my fiance to teach me how to sew. her mom showed her a few things, but she mostly taught herself. she just finished making her own wedding dress actually, pretty cool. also, your dress looks awesome! i like your style.
Hey, that's awesome eggsprog! I was planning on making my dress, but I figured it would be too stressful. Plus, I found an absolutely gorgeous one that was under $300, sooooooo...lol Thanks Tazer
