Mine's got half a bag of cheese doodles inside the case and the northbridge chip is so hot I can't touch it, and the video card fan is seized up, and I have plastic tie straps holding the CPU fan up.

Lol yep, i was thinking in no particular order

GPU (possibly might go nvidia with a 465, 560, something along those lines this time, otherwise a used 5870 or 6850/6870)
    DDR3 MOBO + DDR3 RAM
    Watercooling loop
Maybe new bulldozer cpu when its released

I'd say go with a GTX 560 ti otherwise get the "used 5870" those two cards are the fastest out of the bunch you picked.
and def go with the bulldozer cpu and a 990FX motherboard.

In mine as well as a friends combined 45 years of experience dealing with computers, I think Dell is probably your best choice in today's market for a good balance of price/performance/support.
check their site, they have laptops ranging from $300-$400 on up and you can order custom configurations as well.:)
Also pay attention to the battery specs. Batteries are one of the most expensive components in a laptop, so often low priced ones will have cheap or short life batteries. What good is a laptop if the battery only lasts for 2-3 hours?

Remember though, you get what you pay for in this world, especially with computers. If it's a really low price, there's a reason. ;)
