Try to develop meditation like the earth.

Be it feces, vomit, piss, or blood,
    the earth does not recoil
    but takes it all in
    without,..
    prejudice.

cholera... dysentry... methane's damage to the atmosphere....

i'm afraid the earth treats what we scatter on it with extreme prejudice

For every action an equal reaction.

Without prejudice without doing any harm to any legal right or claim that somebody has.

Unfortunately while Newton sounds like a great way to explain it, we often forget about variables. (and the fact that Newton's law are false under certain situations)

Causality happens. But when we look at it beyond a single action/reaction, you can't keep track of it. Too many variables. Too many other causes and effects rippling off of each other to effectively predict 'reaction' of something unmeasurable and vague like attitude or crapping in a river. Butterfly effect and all that crap.

At least I can understand where the Newton fans are coming from. Those who claim a 'three-fold' law, I get confused by because I'm not even sure what hat they pulled the factor of three out of.

Those I agree with thedope that the earth has no prejudice. It just is and reacts purely out of causality and not judgement.

It is an equal reaction to the extent of the pathology involved. Illness is a healthy biological response.

People die because they are born into a conditional existence. Metabolism requires 100% mortality.
Unfortunately that is a legitimate claim only to the extent that you are able to fashion temporary conditions for yourself.

if it is an equal reaction and illness is a healthy biological response... why have humans become compelled to spend billion of hours and massive material resources to overcome it? sewers didn't dig themselves? the people of haiti didn't scream for help when cholera started killing their children recently

i'm also very confused as to what many diseases can be a biological response to ... cancer always seemed very arbitrary to me

as i said above, humans go to massive extremes to avoid death ... are you saying it is a pointless endeavor? should we accept that a massive population concentration will wipe itself out without massive human intervention?

could you explain that further pls

Is the concept of equality not subjective?

The counter intuitive sensations are tied to our prescription of events. The reason we apply such vast resources and to an extent that it is strangling the American economy is the errant belief that biological death can be overcome, that we can "save lives". It is true on a statistical basis, medical care has contributed to extend life span, but to defeat biological death entirely is out of proportion. The question becomes at some point, how much are you willing to pollute. Are we to preserve, at all cost, every speck of diseased and failing tissue. We come face to face with this reality in the form
of the organ transplant list, where patients with a reasonable expectation of recovery take priority over patients who are closer in their estimation, to unsustainable.

The increasing success rate in treating cancers suggest that they do have a cause.

I am not saying it is a pointless endeavor, I'm saying that the effort is out of proportion and it's effect on the economy is evidence of that. The most expensive health care is extraordinary care.

There are certain facts of life that seem horrible, that organisms eat other organisms as a matter of normalcy. But that horrible feeling is produced by the conception that sponsored it.

We watch a nature program on tv and we see a cute bunch of goslings on the tundra and we think awe how nice. Then a fox comes into the picture and kills the goslings and gathers them in it's mouth and runs off and we think, how horrible, and then we see the fox return to it's den and we see little hungry puppies, and we think how nice all over again.

More inequality, specialness providing the distinctions. Reality is never threatened.
