Well, I followed a San Pedro recipe from the internet and it didn't work. I took about 2 feet of San Pedro cactus. I put it in the blender and pulverized it. I then boiled the pulverized cactus for about 3 hours. Adding water as it evaperated. This will leech the mescaline out of the plant fiber and into the water supposedly from what I read. Then with a cheese cloth, I squeezed all the juices out. I squeezed and let it drain for a long time until all that was left in the cheese cloth was a little rock hard, dry ball of hard plant fiber. With all the good juice in a pot. I then took that good juice and boiled it down until it was a thick and glooey sludge. Finished! I drank the sludge, expecting to get a mescaline trip. From what I researched I had done everything right. But nothing happened. Not even a slight buzz. What did I do wrong?
It was definitely the real thing. Peruvian torch with a flower on top. Harvested in May. Is there a good and bad time to harvest?
