I need some tips, or some good idea's on where to bring this girl... i'll give you some background information first... Firstly, me and her have talked literally EVERYDAY for the past 10 months, we talk for hours on end, every day. Yet we mainly only talked at school, online, and thew texting, never really seeing each other out of school, except for maybe 3-4 times. The first month we were just friends basically, but after that.. we knew we both liked each other, and told each other, yet we didn't officially become boyfriend/girlfriend up until a week ago, but now school has ended.. and i'm going away for about 2 weeks, and i wont be able to talk to her at all, and we've talked eveeryday for the past 10months! So, i wanted to go out with her somewhere before i have to leave.. but where? I would go to the movies.. but, that doesnt really give us much of a chance to talk, and i dooont want to go out for dinner or anything, i just dont like eating infront of other people, im strange.. haha! we are 17, and so we would have to get rides by our parents.. (we dont live walking distance from each other..) So my question! what would be some good places to go? That would give us lots of time to just talk and such
i never understood people who didn't get their license on their 16th birthday. what were you doing that was more important than that? anyway, it's hard to give advice since i don't know either of your interests, or even where you are. museum, ballpark, regular park, each others' houses, zoo, beach, amusement park, mall. the possibilities are literally endless if you don't give a little more info on location or interests.
I guess whatever you both feel comfortable in doing, and what situations you think are romantic enough to be just the two of you. A walk through your local park is always nice, but I agree with the above post, that to know of your interests, would perhaps tweak a much more fluid response.
I did get my license when i was 16, but a few months after my birthday (I was just to lazy to study..) But here where i live, when you first get your license you get a thing called an L, which means you can only drive with an adult over a certain age (i think its like 21 or something?) that has a valid full license, for a full year! so i basically cant drive alone for a few more months, then once the year is up i have to go in for a road test to get a different thing called an N, which is almost like a full license, just with a few more restrictions, and that last about 1-2 years (im unsure cause i think they changed it to 2 years..) I dont know if its like that where you live, but yeah. Anyways, yes you both make valid points.. I should list my interests, I like the walk in a park idea, because i like nature and such. But theres no places like that where i live (i live right in the center of the city basically) but she lives out of town in the country, so i could go to her house.. But i cant just invite myself over to her house obviously haha... and i dont really want her coming to my house.. (Because i find my house to be embarrassing, none of my friends have ever came here, i always go to there houses... everyone i know has nice big houses, while my house is small, crappy, and in a bad part of town..)
that's a pain. when i got my license, i was able to get my learner's permit at 15 1/2, which meant i could only drive with a parent. i had to have that for 6 months then i was able to get a regular license. a few restrictions until i turned 18, but they were pretty loose. i think i was only allowed to have 2 other minors with me, and couldn't drive between 1 and 5 a.m. or something like that, but otherwise had full driving privileges. back on the thread subject, if you live in the city then there's pretty much infinite choices. i'm sure there's city parks around. there's also museums, the zoo, etc.. hell, just walking around downtown can be fun if it's a big enough city. and you don't have to rely entirely on the parents once you're together because you have access to public transportation. or you could go see her out in the country. you don't necessarily have to go to her house; there's probably more nature type options out there. just going for a bike ride on the back roads can be a lot of fun.
are there boardwalks/walking trails in your area?..coffee shops and malls are good too..or parks/beaches with picnic tables
Kids drive in America? 17 is the age you get to take your test here, so most aren't driving until they're adults. I'm 23 and I've never even tried to drive. I should really get round to that...
