I got a Percocet rx, 5/325, 18 pills. Before this I had never taken opiates before, so I planned on trying to tough it out with Tylenol and Ibuprofen, saving the Percs for recreational use later. For the first day and a half I was fine with extra-strength Tylenol (1000mg acetaminophen) every 6 hours, but at the end of the second day the pain was getting worse so I decided to take one of the Percs before I went to bed at 11:00pm. I was surprised to find that one 5/325 pill did almost nothing. I took a second one at midnight (1 hour after the first) and went to sleep. I kept waking up every 15 minutes or so feeling dizzy and confused, with some pain relief but not much. At 2:45am I woke up in agonizing pain (less than 3 hours after taking the second pill). Since then I've been alternating between Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 4-5 hours and have felt significantly better. Is this normal? Maybe I just didn't take enough? I was pretty disappointed, as I was expecting total pain relief and a good night's sleep.
I have noticed that some people who have no opioid experience have a VERY small window between which they are comfortably high (and subsequently pain-relieved- they go hand in hand) and in which they are sick (either vomiting or disoriented). It takes a little experimenting to get the right dose for you. Since 10mg seemed to overwhelm you, try 7.5mg next time. And, as for treating the post-procedure pain, you aren't going to really get a pleasant high off the pills since your body is in severe pain to begin with, and you will need a high dose, which could potentially make you feel like shit. Don't try to save all of the pills for later. You don't want to be in agonizing pain, man! Just save a few for fun. You don't want to become dependent on opioids anyways.
your mouth shouldn't be hurting more than a day anyways.. you have been bleeding drink plenty of water..
U Shouldnt Ever Take More Then 4grams Or 4000mg Of Acetaminophen In A 24 Hour Period!!! Its Very Bad For Your Liver!!!
