I glad you mentioned Casino because I was watching a censored version of Goodfellas on TV and it sucked eggs Hotwater
It sucks when they censor any movie, but the first that come to mind is smokey and the bandit. Jedite83
That was the first one that came to mind when I saw the title. And pretty much any good movie containing more than one use of the word "fuck". ... I can't stand censored music or movies and I almost always prefer to turn them off rather than sit through them.
I'm definitely in the 'all of the above' camp. But what about Big Lebowski? "Shut up, Donnie," isn't quite the same as "Shut the fuck up, Donnie!" What I really hate is when they try to dub someone else's voice over the actor's voice and have the dubbed voice use some word that not even a Mormon would use as a substitute for a curse word. For example, from 1987's Summer School (love that fuckin' movie): Mark Harmon: All right, enough of this shit. Dubbed alteration [a dopey surfer voice]: Okay, enough of these chips. Wankers. Censorship of classic cartoons (esp. Tex Avery cartoons) is even worse.
Censorship always sucks, but it can occasionally be amusing. The Big Lebowskis "this is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass" changed to "this is what happens when you meet a stranger in the alps" Scarface's "this town is like one giant pussy ready to be fucked" "this town is like one giant chicken ready to be plucked"
