I was told I must veg my clones for 4 weeks, then take it to flowering when they are "1-2 feet high", for the 8-10 week finish. Being overly exited, I picked up one clone before I was fully prepared for the grow (a Mr. Nice Guy indica), and grew her in sunlit windows for 2.5 or 3 weeks before finishing my equipment list/grow room and picking up 5 other clones (chem-d, violator og, northern lights, bc god bud, and willie nelson). New clones are around 8 inches now, and all but two seem to be thriving without complaint. Original clone is now 20 inches high and almost as wide a bush as it is tall, seeming to grow like a fractal. I dont see why I cant bring the new clones up to the minimum height/age and then take the lot of them into flowering simultaneously. So the old clone is taller and bushier and older. Why do people say ive messed this up, and the two groups are out of phase? Will an older, longer veg'ed plant decline to go into flowering when I change the light cycle, at the time normal for the younger clones? I want to go to flower when the new plants are transplanted into big pots, are stable and healthy, and are at least one foot tall. Old clone is more than ready for flowering now....

there is like a 2 weeks window to the phase of the plant triggers =) it does not happen over night..

say you flower plants and 12/12 - 2 weeks later you go back to 18/6 The plant is still going to flower some for 2 weeks, but they will elongate. after that 2 weeks put back into flowering, Flowering phase is still active from before. Just not as strong. The 2nd 12/12 should only take 1weeks to bring them back to full flowering.. They will still grow in veg when first shifted to 12/12 sometimes vegging more..

So... it doesnt matter if i have one clone who is 8 weeks into veg and 5 clones who are 4 weeks into veg; when I change lighting to 12/12 for all of them simultaneously theyll all go into flowering without individual problems? I realize they will follow their genetics and personal states of health and happiness to flower at their own pace and degree, but theyll all flower normally together?

yes they will all flower together.. Some may ever flower faster being a different strains, so the 4 week old ones could outgrow the other older plants at 8weeks ..

Actually less of a problem in flowering not like seeds were a week different in a confined space can mean the older ones dominating the others for the light.
Yes they are out of phase and for flowering under lights you like to have an even canopy so all the top of the plants get light and not in shadow by a taller plant, I'd train the older plant to grow wider not tall and let the others catch up.
