Am i scared? no, i really do want to take lsd. but my past experiences is what makes me question wether i should take it or not. about a year ago i took 2ci (high dose) had a great time, and made the mistake of taking it again the next day(normal dose). long story short, i was left in a 4 month head trip, i won't get into it. it was never intense the slightest bit, but yeh i was still in a head trip. my thoughts were also much louder and i could never stop thinking. one day after excersice i had mental revelation and the trip in my head ended. i was left with bad anxiety, anxiety runs in the faimily and i'm guessing 2ci triggered it?yes or no? i was on a lot of medication and now i feel like i'm on stable ground again, and i have been for a couple months now. All that happens now is that i'm prone to easly getting overwhelmed in my thoughts just like my dad. 2ci is concidered light tho and i was thinking of trying acid. can doing this wreak everything i did to recover? or can it help my anxiety go away? I want to know about the lasting effects from just doing it once with an avarage dose with everthing i've been though. postive or negative. opinions please.
It could go either way. Acid is wayyyyyy heavier on the head than any 2c-x though. It could give you some perspective and inner strength or it could give you anxiety much worse than what 2c-i did. What are these medications you speak of, and were you on them when you took the 2c-i?
ablilify/kpin/lexepro, they were prescribed to me for the anxiety caused by the 2ci. i'm off them now b/c i'm on stable ground.
idk i wanted to go into the trip thinking about my anxiety, and why i'm a shy person and explore myself, and think about my flaws and fears and mabye seek change. sorry if that sounds dumb, or its a bad idea
It's not dumb, it's exactly the kind of thing LSD can shed light onto. It sounds like you have a good mentality for it, give it a go, just be prepared for the possibility of mental hardship. I wouldn't assume that just because you took those psychiatric meds that you are unfit for tripping, even with one experience with lasting mental effects. I have both experienced lasting negative effects from tripping and been on SSRIs/benzos myself, yet I trip regularly and 99% of the time it's at the least extremely fun, and at best very educational

one other question if your still looking at this thread, would using benzo's as a cruch be a good idea in the case of a bad trip. was thinking of using whats left of my script, and taking the normal dose every day a few days up to the trip. then have some on me during the trip. if i did that how would it effect the trip, and the long term effects
Well do you want to open your mind by using LSD? Or do you want to stupefy yourself with benzos so that you can "handle" LSD? Benzos will diminish the psychedelic effects, it would be like getting drunk before you took the acid . . . only take the acid if you're ready to just take the acid and have an acid trip. I wouldn't have any pharmacological crutches to interfere with the molecule. If it makes you feel better keep some near you "In case of a bad trip" (if you absolutely must think this way), but instead of grabbing a hammer and knocking yourself over the head at the first sign of trouble, may I suggest that the true growing comes from the difficult and painful times. Maybe a few tears need to be shed before deeper aspects of anxiety issues are touched upon?
taking benzo's to be able to handle it was a thought, i wasn't definitly going to do it. but i was defenitly going to carry them on me in the case of a bad trip. i do want to open my mind, thats the reson for taking it. the fear of having a bad trip doesn't weigh much on my mind. but i wanted to have them on me just incase. i strongly feel like i can handle it, but i was going to take benzo's a few days before if i wanted to be 100% for sure safe(mabye(but not anymore after what you just said if i do take lsd). not that i don't feel safe without it, but you get what i'm trying to say right?
You sound like you're trying to cover all your bases and proceed with the utmost caution, which is better than being rash with psychedelics, but as you well know, "plans" go out the window as soon as the dose is ingested just give yourself to the process. Maybe what you need IS a bad trip? last thing you wanna do is munch some benzos because of 5 minutes of uncomfortable tripping in what would have otherwise been 5 minutes of uncomfortable tripping and 8 hours of blissful mind expansion you know? I don't understand why you would take benzos a few days before the LSD, I don't think that's going to impact your trip much, unless you still use those benzos daily for anxiety. If you don't, then don't. Just be your naked self and take LSD and commit to the possibility of an 8-12 hour difficult trip, it's what you're signing up for.
