Theres nothing wrong with it technically, its just boring to me. there was a thousand bands like this before, theres gonna be a thousand bands like this after. I'm so sick of over produced metal bands. I mean this has all the clichés of this new wave of shitty metal core. It's like they only write breakdowns and the rest is just filler. And then comes in the lame clean vocals chorus. I dunno. It's just boring.
this is the kind of music people listen to that think they need to fight all the time to prove something to society..
Thats what we should all do that.. OD pedal, high gain fuzz, one chord, scream a bunch of stupid shit.. wtf!!
Yeah I do kinda think there are a shit ton of bands similar to this. I happen to like this particular band though. HOWEVER, I don't particularly care for the type of metal that the majority of posts in this section concentrate on, and I happen to have the same mentality about that kind of metal as you have regarding this metal. And to ME, it ALSO seems as if there are a ton of bands like... Children of Bodom, Mastodon, Death... I guess it only seems that way to me because I don't care for that kind of music, so of course it's going to sound the same to me... Same with you, likely. Do not generalize people who listen to a certain type of music. That's absolutely retarded, and very ignorant. I can have this shit playing then switch immediately to a soft beat clean guitar, or acoustic even, and have the same passion for it that I had for the overly heavy metal music I had playing prior to that. People don't listen to music to give impressions, they listen because they enjoy the damn music...
now you're generalizing. there ARE people who listen to a certain type of music to appear cool. whoever listens to this sure isnt listening to it because it's easy on the ears....
Sorry to troll but metal sucks. I hate metal and i wish people would stop listing to it. I think the entire metal scene should shift and start listing to hip-hop instead.
Personally I dont really like the bands you listed either (children of bodom, mastodon, and so on) but either way, you don't need to justify yourself for liking what you like anyways. Although I would be willing to bet you'll be sick of them in 6 months and if youre young, in a bout 1 year or two you'll have moved on from this trendy, tight pants, stretched ears, army of scene kids type of music.
I'm not into death metal either, but I appreciate and enjoy the good ones live. This seems harder with bands like in the OP. If I were you I would not let that bother you I can fully understand people who can't stand my fav bands and (sub)genres in metal, it's perfectly allright unless people take their dislikes too seriously and get all whiney about it.
I like death metal, but real death metal like cannibal corpse. I rarely listen to them but respect them as a classic. Plus I've seen them live and it's funny as hell. I think I don't like metal when the dudes take themselves seriously. Whether it's about being tough or being ''satanic'' or whatever. It's just a bit ridiculous to me. I like the punk influenced metal myself like grindcore and such. Bands like Ed Gein, the locust and Converge. It's just more interesting to me. I may have posted this video before but I like it. Sorry for hijacking this thread OP. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpP9a2B4V-k
Extreme metal fans often seem kind of offended when I admit I really dig black metal but not death. I don't care if the band takes themselves too seriously as long as I find their music awesome. I can also highly appreciate black metal bands like Immortal though, who pose seriously but actually take it to the over the top level. Their music, pics and artwork are awesome either way. By the way, grindcore is also typically a genre I don't listen to but I generally love it live.
I had a phase where I was really in to black metal a few years ago. I really dig Dimmu Borgir. Their symphony arrangements are insane. I kinda got turned off after I saw Cradle of Filth live. I was like.... mehhh, this is ridiculous lol. Yeah grindcore is awesome live. its funny. I saw these boys a few days ago. They are 17 to 22 years old and on your for 6 weeks. Can you believe that? They toured europe last year. One of them was 16. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG2v5S1nnzY
I really love Dimmu Borgir but only until Enthrone darkness triumphant. Stormblast and For all tid are the Dimmu albums for me I haven't heard any black metal with industrial or too symphonic influences that I can get really into. I've really had it with Cradle of filth for years now.
