We have a Portland in Connecticut, too. It's across from Middletown, along the Connecticut River. Despite the closeness, I'm never in it. As for your Portland (LOL), I read that it was named for the Portland I know and love...the one in Maine. Thank you for the reply. I've been at the wonderful forum for 4 years now and wonder how I would live without it! Musically, the only groups I'm aware of from Portland are Quarterflash and Nu Shooz, both largely one-hit wonders from the 1980s. Oh well...I'm stumped now!
