Requiem For A Dream

A very powerful moving film about what addiction can turn into. For those who haven't seen it i strongly suggest. The message this film sends is for everyone.

I just watched that last week

 

The author of the book lead a very troubled life.

Requiem had good parts, but it was oober disturbing

Pi has some disturbing parts, but the movie is all-around better, less criminal you just feel real bad for the main character

 

I did my experimenting, but my sister is a hard-core addict, and she said all this movie did was make her want to get high. But she's mentally fucked. Good movie though. I liked Pi as well.

 

Sorry. I don't watch movies like this one (and Trainspotting) that glorify herion use.

yeah, it was a very disturbing movie...not one i would use to relax me as i attempt to sleep. basketball diaries were pretty good as well

 

That shit almost happened to my sister's arm. It got infected and they had to lance it. Stupid bitch is still doing that shit.

It's okay, she chose her path and she has to deal with that. But I still love the movie.

 

I own that movie, have seen it many times. It's shot very well, the message is a bit PC though. Just my opinion.

 

I saw it many years ago, well before I ever tried a 'hard' drug, so it didn't affect me very strongly. However, I would be reluctant to watch it again today since I have experienced more of the world of hard drugs, and it would likely just depress and disturb me. Luckily, I didn't let my ventures go as far as the people in the film, but I still would find it un-nerving.
