I dont have many trades and dont want to stay in same city for to long so not sure about getting part time work. Also i live in new zealand, i guessing it ilegal to live at beach etc where could i get away with puting my tent up? I dont no if i will end up doing this of just living in van for more safety but it sounds good getting back to nature etc im a vegan to..

    Just do it.
Get a good sleeping bag. Get a good light weight tent. And just go do it.

Otherwise you'll keep doubting yourself and second guessing IF you should.

And when you get old, you'll look back and ask yourself "why didn't I try it?"

dude...new zealand is prime area for what you're tryin to do. from what i hear, there are many seasonal fruit picking jobs? or learn how to wrap jewelry or do hemp and sell them on beaches in touristy areas....or learn to play an instrument and busk. as for it being illegal...just find a place thats more remote...or walk up into the woods a little bit. as long as you're not building out-of-control fires and such, you probably won't get hassled by cops.....just do it

if you're plannin on living this lifestyle for a while, i would not suggest buying expensive gear. it's eventually gonna get stolen. i cannot tell you how many times i've had my gear stolen. also - it depends on whether you plan on doing more city living or out in the country....that will determine whether you feel like carrying the weight of a tent around with you everywhere
