Just watched this, a friend recommended it. It's a very strange film, and will probably end up with a cult following (me included). It's a film about a psychopathic tyre, basically. Can't really explain it any further than that. I suppose it reminded me a bit of Christine, in a loose sense. I liked it, it was just totally bizarre. Good soundtrack as well. 8/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1612774/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joI-uU86NXw"]YouTube - Rubber Trailer 2011 HD
oh this is totally what im gonna make carri suffer through next!! the best part is ill probably enjoy it!
Haha my mate showed me this the other day. Have a look at the trailer for "hobo with a shotgun". Popped up on u tube as well. Hehe.
Just watched it tonight.. I enjoyed it, mostly just because it was different. I think the ending could have been better, I was expecting a bit more after such a bizzare movie.
I actually just saw "Rubber" this weekend. A friend of mine recomended it to me too. it was bizarre. and also reminded me loosley of Christine. but it was cool because it was SOOO different from anything i've ever seen. and it was quite amusing.
This is probably the worst film I have ever seen, such a total insult to anyone who's ever seen any other films, or read any books, or thought any thoughts. The pseudo-deep 'no reason' speech at the beginning (repeated in full at the end just in case the sledgehammer didn't hit you quite hard enough) was pompous, poorly written teenage pretension. This is the kind of film idiots will love when they discover that it's not actually about the murderous tyre, it's about, like, films man! Way deep. For those who get the point within two seconds, this is 80 minutes of pointless posturing by someone who evidently thinks he is a great filmmaker because he's read a Wikipedia page on postmodernism. The ideas are derivative, cheap and schoolboyish.
Thank you. My friends and I barely made it through this. It had some funny/awful moments, but there just weren't enough of them. It was like okay, we get it, now make it entertaining or there's no reason to watch it past the first 15 minutes. Maybe it would have worked better as a short...
