Okay so my girlfriend and I have been talking/going out for the past 5 months. We started getting pretty serious about 2 months ago. We're pretty much falling for eachother and although both of our pasts have not been exactly "committed" in any way, we seem to have changed that for eachother. We're both going to be Seniors (12th grade) in the upcoming school year and plan on taking our studies seriously. We're both intelligent people and really don't want to involve ourselves in any type of drama. Now for the dreams I've been having. For the past 3 nights, I've been talking on the phone with my girlfriend until I fall asleep. We've been doing that for months. It's 90% of the time the best of conversations. We usually both hang up extremely happy. She's in Canada right now on vacation, while I'm in Miami. I have NEVER cheated on my girlfriend, I have never planned or even thought about it. I want to stay faithful to my girl for as long as we last. The past 3 nights, I've had crazy dreams. In each dream, I cheat on her with 1 or several girls. Good looking girls, some I know, some I've never seen before. In the dreams, I know I'm doing something wrong, but I do it anyways. Now I would never do this in the real world, but my dreams seem to say otherwise. Comments?
It's nothing to worry about, it's quite a common dream. Something to do with a change in feelings towards that person as a result of a deeper commitment, though I could be wrong on that one. Or, as is more likely, you have had to compromise one or some of your values in some area of your life, not necessarily with your partner.
Idk, nothing seems different with my life, other than my relationship with her. It has gotten deeper into commitment, yes, but I just don't see why my subconsciousness has chosen to have me cheat on her for 3 nights in a row.
It could partly be to do with your deeper feelings of knowing what this commitment entails or it could be a little celebration of deeper sexual connection taking place in your head.
