Barefoot Sandals Anyone?

FINALLY made some! I'm absolutely in love with them and can't wait to finish the other ones I started! :sunny:

They look amazing!
They seem so intricate (did I spell that right?) and well made.. how long did it take for you to make them?

 

Nothing WRONG with them....

But if I was making sandals, I'd just make actual sandals, they're very simple, healthy, elegant footwear, I think.

Also, they may keep people from being as likely to look twice, but if they do look twice, barefoot sandals will probably alienate them way more than just going barefoot, you'll rise from hobo status to cult member status, in their minds

 

Thanks guys! They only took about 2 hours to make, which is why I'm having so much fun with it!

Well that's cool, but the usual reason is to evade the judgmental persecution of those stiffed necked fools who would take issue with you going barefoot.

I mean, I can't imagine BOTHERING to make footwear that doesn't touch the ground, if I was making a point of not wearing things on my feet (I would exempt anklets and toe rings from this) and thus, doesn't do anything....

I GUESS it counts as jewelry?

Also; I just realized that firefox thinks "helluva" is a proper spelling, though it doesn't recognize "firefox" as a word. Also, describing precious items with the word "jewelry" seems to be derived from the image of the covetous miserly jew.

 

Hahahahahahahahahha!

Reasons why I made them (no particular order)--
1) I don't like wearing shoes
2) I like pretty things
3) I was bored and wanted to learn a new craft

Do you have any links for how to do some bracelets like that?
I like to wear an anklet and tend to change it only when it falls off and am looking for a new one, so I was thinking about making it myself.

 

Hmmm....I kinda just got out some string and made em'. I can sorta draw a picture and explain it if you want? The green ones are crocheted, but the hemp ones are macrame. Both of them are pretty easy to do once you know how to start.

 

That's alright, I'll just look up some stuff online.

i love sandals. more inportant i love to polish my toes and display them. i have nice shaped feet and how many people have told me so. i even wear sandals in the snow.
