I have been thinking about this for over 10 yrs now and am more than willing to take the plunge and totally renounce the modern way of living. I am lookong for a commune or tribe that is all about living as primitive as possible. I want to live like a bushman or hunter/gatherer getting all I need from nature and own absolutely nothing but what few tools id need to get my dayley food, water and fire. I am so sick of the ways of meterialism and environmental destruction. I want to live as our ancesters did as part of the land and not against it. I will need to be taught a lot of survival skills as my perents forbid me to be around anything pointy or sharp.. when I wanted survival school and boy scouts, they cramed computers down my throat. so now I know a lot about computers, and nothing of living off the land and self sufficiency, other than what I have read over the years. Is there anybody out there into bushcraft and complete wilderness self sufficeancy? Id do anything to learn the skills. Not farming but actually hunting, forraging, and living completely native with a tribe of like minded indeviduals. I don't mind getting dirty, actually I love it.. I don't feel human unless I'm covered in dirt like a caveman.. its a lot cleaner than all those chemicals they make in factories for "hygene". I want to let the wild man in me out and ditch this damn high tech life for good. Not to mention, being a slave to money is the most horrible thing on earth, if I had some good survival skills id never need that green paper demon again.. the cost of everything keeps going up and they say more slavery to compensate for it. Oh how I envy the last remaining tribes of the amazon and other places that have never known the evils of the industrialized savagery I was born into. Someone pleaze give me a sign of a better life of love, peace, harmony, and people that are human living in there natural environment, not this paved, greedy, meterialistic hell.. peace!
I think there's still some primitive indigenous tribes in S. America. Good luck finding them and being accepted.
I'm Sure He Will Be Accepted OK, A Dinner Of White Meat Will Be Quite A Treat For Them... Cheers Glen.
Perhaps finding a balance between the best of 'both worlds' could be beneficial to you. Then you could take some steps forward in the direction you ultimately desire!!
I'm on the same page. Modern society does everything it can to make things harder for itself and the rest of the planet. It's high time We start living the way We used to and were meant to.
I've been on this page for 20+ years. Strop dealing with the 'corporation'. Deal locally. Barter, trade, share. The corporation and government are practically the same thing. They have engineered the way they want you and I and our families to live and pay into their scheme. Break away. Stop playing their game. Enough of us do it and they will lose their power over us. Their game is banking, taxes, educational debt and career servitude, lifelong mortgage's, taxing upon taxing, permits, codes, zoning. These are all part's of the game to keep you without power and control. Lets take back our lives. It starts with you!
We all collectively need to step out from the shadow of the corporation/government. Many of us can do it individually, but many people would be stepping out of their lives, & wouldn't want to do it unless everyone they knew did it too.
Baby steps. Change is extremely hard. We have been bombarded with mainstream messages since childhood. We have to learn to think differently. Think more primitively. Our food does not have to come from a drive thru window or a prepackaged box. Teach our children differnet values. Peer pressure is very tough. We're trained to race the Jones' in material things and to get and give our kids the newst shiny gadget. Baby steps.
did you see the movie:into the wild from sean penn? in this world we have to cope with our collective state as an humanity.. suppose you are living in the wilderness and somebody comes to cut that forest or polution kills the fishes in your fishing lake or there is some acid rain this spring that stops the mango trees to have fruits by burning the flowers? we can never behave as if we are separated from the rest of the world ! the modern world will always have an impact on you!i think it is better to play your part and do something as a part of the world nobody can go backwards to the past!the solution maybe is to react with smart choices to the system you do not like!
The solution is to disassemble the system, which is what people really want to get away from, so humans could just be humans, without riduculous, elaborate mental constructs getting in the way of any Natural act one might perform and convincing them they must also prevent other Life, and even the entire livng organism that is Earth from flowing its Natural course.
Hey guys! I'm loving all this grooviness with nature i agree with everything you guys are saying. I'm from the UK if you guys ever start this project a going somewhere. Gimme a shout and ill be over from the other side of the pond faster than you can say "screw the system!" ;D
Just creating the energy I use to power the house would be a awesome experience. Not buying from the local power company is my goal. A wind generator, solar panels, and battery storage would make me feel like I'm really doing something instead of just wishing. I have got off propane heat and use sustainable firewood and a wood stove. That in itself has saved around 1200 gallons of propane a year. A few neighbors have also gone to wood heat. I wish I could say I did it purely to be self-sustainable and green but it was also a economic decision. $3.00 a gallon for propane was beyond my ability to pay.
