Is it possible to take acid if you have sever PTSD and...

are notorious for graphic nightmares? Also I have heard that if you have bad LSD trip you are sometimes unable to smoke pot for years because it triggers hallucinations or full blown flashbacks- is this true?

 

No no no no no its not true dont worry refer to previous posts along these lines cuz the same question comes up weekly.

 

that's a pretty unique situation. i dunno what PTSD is like really, so i can't really give a good suggestion on that. but i have pretty bad dreams most of the time, and i love tripping and rarely have a difficult one. tripping can sorta change the high you get from weed, making it become more psychedelic when you toke...but it's not severe for me.

maybe you could start with a low dose, since you seem to be interested in trying it

 

I have a couple friends who came back from the Iraq war. We tripped together, which I was sketched out about. One of them is on alot of meds for his health, physically and mentally. The other is like my big brother yet I noticed the understandable difference in his personality after returning.

Now I am not sure if the one on all the meds has PTSD, but he has some psychological issues that are similar. We tripped and had a great time, to my surprise and delight. Although, worrying about it up until that point ruined my trip a little. hahaha.

My grandpa who I lived with growing up had PTSD, I can't imagine anyone wanting to be on an LSD trip while in the middle of a PTSD flashback, that seems like it would be pure hell.

 

did you know Ecstasy was used to treat PTSD Along with LSD

 

It will work. You just need to be picky about the location, setting and circumstances of the trip. Much more so than similar preparations for an average joe who wants to trip.

I should know, I was diagnosed with PTSD when I was about 12 years old. For reasons I don't really care to go into. I've tripped a total of 8 times since then and if anything I think it helped. Though each case is unique, fly with caution.

 

Watch the documentary about Dr.Alexander Shulgin i think it was on National Geographic if im not mistaken..........?

 

Thank you all for this advice- Ive never tripped at all because I've watched so .mny bad trips- but they were usullaly done by ppl who never STUDIED their drus and dosages- i also worry about all the bad stories I've heard, ppl who became convince they killed their families or lost trust or lost all sense if ego- I also wish I could only trip for about an hour or two, not all day, and i dont want the feeling of losing control or my heart racing. BELIEVE me i know I'm a total pussy. But lately I've just been missing that feeling so badly when all those years back and i first smoked pot and was like, whoa, I;m almost too high, im talking and I hope my conversation makes sense, euphoric and introspective but also intensely bonding interpersonl experience , and from what Ive heard, LSD ove SHROOMS! (and I'm partial b/c I'm a timothy leary fan ) :love:

Not therapeutic in the least. Ketamine will fuck you up proper though if you want a good spacey high and check out from reality for a bit, I haven't done ketamine for awhile but I've done methoxetamine more recently which is somewhat similar.

 

oky, so if i took half tab of lsd in a safe setting, with someone i trusted, how mny u;s and downs would i experience and for how long- would cause a lot of heart racing- could i use valium ahead of time to relax ?

 

I've never had less than 2 hits myself but there can be ups and downs, shifts and turns that can make your head spin but some doses can be gentle and more serene. I'm usually not worried about my heart racing on LSD, although sometimes it feels as if I a bit stimulated and it's good to have gum and water handy. I wouldn't worry about the valium, maybe some weed if you enjoy it but yah safe setting, trusting sitter/company all sounds good. :2thumbsup:

Just be careful about who you trip with and everything. Psychedelics and entheogens are very therapeutic. Just leave with the right intentions and your journey will be an enjoyable one.

 

im not sure if I know anyone very well versed in acid near me, i;ll hve to do some investigting bc i would only do it w a pro- CAN'T STAND it when my friends get acid and i ask them what kind and they say "i dont know" - i men that's why I won't trip! I'd go in with such fear of the unknown of what the hell i was taking nd the potency!

Oh and I am an EXTREMELY hevy weed smoker- kind bud , like almost 2 oz a month, i take valium,topomax (seizrure med for my bi polar II) effexor (for anxiety & deprression n it doesn;t do a damn thing!!!) and that's it

i should note i don't tend to be into uppers at all, nd had dangerous reaction to the medication Wellbutrin and Abilify and no one could ever figure out why

I also have naturally low blood pressure, even lower b/c of my valium

how much nausea? Only in beginning? here's the biggie? WHAT ABOUT GUILT? I have lots of guilt.... and tht's all I'll say- will that ruin my trip?
