...was brutally murdered last night. A gang attacked him while he was getting into his car and beat him to death. Afterwards, they went through his pockets and took his phone. They called his wife, (also a friend of mine) told her that they had just killed her husband, and said that if she doesnt give them $2,000 that they are going to kill her too. *sigh*
sounds like he owed some people money. sucks that that happened though. but there should be evidence that can trace the guys to the crime. let us know when they get caught.
Thats what I think too.. They stole his car as well. He lived in south america...and thats where this happened. This type of thing happens a bit more frequently there, so there is a chance that it wasnt personal. (and most people I've talked to dont think it was.) But I wouldnt be surprised..
well in that case the bad guys might not be caught. a lot easier to get away with murder in south america. why are they living down there??
I doubt they will.. Maybe if the police find his car, but this type of thing happens too much down there for them to have a full investigation every time, and the gang is probably smart enough to change the plates..
His wife lives here.. he used to, but got deported a year ago. Theyve been trying to get him back all year.
I've been trying to find one, I'll post it for sure if I do. (though it would be in Spanish, since he was in south America, and is from there as well.) I doubt I'll find one in English unless they actually kill his wife ( being that she's American) like they are threatening to. (she went down for his funeral this morning).
I have a friend from Trinidad who describes the place as the same way it sounds where your friend was...gangs and thugs have taken over
Why would they demand money from his wife and threaten to kill her if he didn't owe money around town? Either way, that's sad he had to suffer in that way, I'm sorry you lost a friend.
Exactly.. He never told me this, but I think that's probably why he came to America in the first place. When he found out he was getting deported, he was terrified of going back. The fact that they called and demanded money pretty much means this wasn't random..
