i just had them finished a couple days ago and have washed them once really really lightly with normal shampoo, not containing petroleum
i have now bought baking soda to wash them with
anyway yesterday i noticed that the bottoms of the dreads have started undoing themselves and are just becoming normal hair. will they lock back up or do i need to redo the backcombing?
    whats your opinion?
i havent used any chemicals, except aloe vera gel

What aloe vera gel? Some of those do have crap in them, moisturizers and stuff in them.

    Typically,
Backcombing just makes frizzballs that loosen itself , get a really messy tangle and then lockup.

I mean, you could backcomb them back into frizz that will have to come loose to tangle up.. but you're just slowing down the process.
It's only been a couple of days.chill.leave it alone.
