During meditation, if I focus on my brain area, or pineal gland, sometimes I get this rush of intense feeling, kind of like falling in and out of sleep. It is a strong pull, during the pull everything just stops, it feels like nothing is happening, and then bang im back into reality. It resembles lightspeed travel in star trek (im not a trekkie so I might be explaining it wrong) but basically when the ship pauses for a second and then BANG its off super quick, it feels like that. When I get this sensation, before hand i have sensations all over my buddy usually, not every day feelings but only ones I have while meditating. Any clue what it is?
Is it like that shaking feeling, kind of like an internal earthquake? I love that. It's supposed to be the astral body detaching from the physical, or something like that. I just ride the wave.
And the mind was a perfect blank - fine deep mediation, agree ride the wave ... The mind is a wonderful thing - in opposite mode, think about times when you are in peril or see an accident and how things slow way down, a couple of seconds seem like a minute.
it was like a internal earthquake, and I am not sure what kind of meditation it is, I just lay down and do my thing lol
Sounds about right. I've heard that if you focus on the third eye at this point, you can astral project, but my experience has been that once I notice it my mind shifts out of the meditation and it's gone.
I don't know if I got it right, but I feel something like that since I was a little child. I'm waiting to know anything, thank you.
yeah it usually happens when I focus on my third eye (pineal gland) i also get crazy images , usually purpleish, sometimes light, they move around and i can "feel" them. But as for the feeling when this happens, i did it again today, for a split second it as if everything is gone, nothing happens, it reminds me almost of computer lag, for a split second nothing happens, then it all comes crashing on you everything happens at once. I cannot make it happen on cue, and it takes a lot of effort for it to come.
During Shamatha and vipassana some tests have shown that a certain layer of the brain is thicker than in nonmeditators. Due to watching all ones contents come and go. Otherwise in meditation, in general, whatever occurs, occurs, and is let go of. Do not place undue importance on this.
When it happens, do you go along with it or try to pull yourself out of it? Follow it and see where it takes you. I do not think it is your third eye but maybe something even more powerful in your crown area. For your Crown chakra is the one that connects you to divine power and love.
I get a sensational rush like this when re-balancing my chakras. The pineal gland for all intents and purposes is very powerful though. Our loin cloth wearing ancestors relied upon this gland for its sixth sense abilities. Most of us in the modern world have lost our ability to use it, many don't even know it exists. You could simply be reawakening this gland and a result of this is the rush you are experiencing. Niceunk:
Meditation helps an individual overcome these emotions to facilitate a calm peaceful mind and a healthy and stress free body.Upon daily practice an individual will blossom into an unshakable personality.
“Yoga nidra”, good practice if one is interested in awareness not only of the conscious but subconscious and unconscious mind levels.
