The original Neverwinter Nights with the add-ons, Shadows of Undertide and Hordes of Darkness comprise one of the best RPG's , in my opinion. It holds to the third edition rules of D&D and isn't "dumbed down" to be ported to a console like Neverwinter Nights 2 was. I have played through Neverwinter nights about 6 times as well as other modules, I highly recommend the Eye of the Beholder module. I started playing NW2 and quit halfway through because, well it just sucked. Dragon Age is another one that is pretty good, although it doesn't follow true D&D rules, it's still fun.
I liked NWN too (that is too, not two or 2), lots of user made content out there to play with too, was cool to play through The Temple of Elemental Evil without all the dice, paper / pencil's and exposure to lead from the figurines I never got around to painting as a kid. Even some of the random dungeon generator mod's were pretty cool, though that was just gameplay without any real roleplaying involved.
You are playing the original NWN, correct? If so and you are a magic user then learn the combust spell as one of the first ones, it will serve you well. Tip: there is an early quest in which you have to burn piles of plague victims, plus you will find more piles of victims that can be burned. You get XP for doing it, but if you use the combust spell to burn them, then you will get XP every time the spell fires until the pile is finished. Read the description of the combust spell for a further explanation. I have gotten as much as 225 XP from those piles instead of the 25 XP you get if you light them up with a torch. There are many other places where you can milk it for XP, but I'll let you discover them on your own
lol i just killed the jail guys and got the key for the jail that was a bitch but 500xp per jail master or whatever thank god for color spray or i would have never made it and i also used barskin potion on my hell hound LOl which helped alot to kill them .
