I searched, but surprisingly when you search DXM, nothing comes up. Anyways, I don't know if this is the right forum for it, but whatever. I was wanting to try DXM, but I didn't know what the best way to take it was. I read the Zicam spray bottles contain a little under 400mg of it, but then people are saying to take a few bottles of this or that. If I only have to take one bottle of the zicam(to keep it at a normal dose) then why would I want to take so many bottles of another thing or whatever? Anyways what do you guys recommend?
Maybe the other bottles taste better? Maybe you wanna one day try more than 400mg? Don't measure your dose in bottles, or ounces, or anything like that. Measure your dose in milligrams. Then it doesn't matter whether you are drinking one or three bottles of brand X, as long as you are getting the milligram dose you want. My favorite dose is 650mg. Only drink something that has Dextromethorphan as the ONLY medical ingredient. Ideally order pure DXM powder online, just google.
Yea, I did say mg. Also that is 400mg of the DXM. For a first time user I figured that is enough. And also I would get pure DXM but I can't order shit offline...my parents will be all over that asking what it is and shit. Last time I ordered something offline, just a memory card for my camera, and I came home and my mom and brother were asking me what it was, said the looked it up trying to figure it out or some shit. I'm like wtf? They were just wondering, but still, it's just a memory card. Although they figured something like that cause it says B&H Photo Video. As for buying DXM, it would just have whatever name, and if they ask what it is, I could make up something, but they'd expect to see whatever it is I bought, not that they would come looking for it, but if I say I bought something and they happen to never see it, wouldn't really make sense, you know? So it's basically a hit or miss on whether or not I'll get the door when it comes, and if anyone else will be there or not. Being the summer, I have a better chance, but I work so I'm not home all the time. Although all of that is bullshit. I'm almost 18 and I feel like I get treated like I'm five.
Go with Robo gels bro. They're small, and much prefereable to choking down a bottle or two of vile cough syrup. Each bottle contains 20 gels, with 15mg of DXM a piece. A whole bottle is 300 mg, which is a good dose for your first time, in my opinion. DXM is amazing.
I never understand how people in these forums just throw around doses for dxm without mentioning the very important fact is that the number of mg's that one should take depends on the persons weight and what plateau they want to go to. There is a BIG difference in what kind of experience a 250 pound person will have with 400mg as opposed to someone who weighs 120 pounds. For example I weigh about 175 pounds and 400-450mg gives me a nice 3rd plateau experience. I also don't have to choke down bottles to get that dose, it's only a hair over 4oz which is about 5-6 shots using the little plastic dose cup that comes with the bottle. Really not all that bad. It makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about having to swallow 20-30 gel caps...but of course everyone is different. The important thing is don't just dose according to a number of mg's someone throws out there without at least knowing how big or small that person is in relation to yourself. If this will be your first time using dxm then don't buy or take ANYTHING before you go to the pharmaceutical forum and completely read the dxm faq that is stcky'ed right at the top of the forum.
It doesn't matter too much what "plateau" you go to. As long as you don't take silly doses like over 1000mg you'll be fine no matter what weight you are. And it's a far less dangerous substance than weed in my opinion, psychologically.
I'm sorry but I disagree. There are distinctive differences between the different plateau's and how much is required to reach those plateau's according to the mg per pound ratio. For example you may enjoy a 4th plateau experience whereas a 4th plateau experience is a bit much for my liking but a 3rd plateau experience is just right. This is especially important when it is a person's first time.
And you also consider it far less dangerous then weed? Are you kidding me or what? If you can't handle smoking a rocket of some good bud then I would definitely stay away from dxm.
