Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a tattoo on my 18th bday, it's ages away (March) so I've got a while to think about it. The idea I have at the moment is a skull with a rose in it's mouth, with wings either side of it and instead of the cross bones above the head, I'm having 2 guitar necks. Underneath there's going to be a little place for a slogan or saying of some kind, seeing as music is such a big part of my life (hence the guitar necks) I want some kind of music related saying. Any ideas anyone?

If you need to ask about what to get your tattoo of, then you're not ready for a tattoo in my opinion. I feel like you should like a saying or an image so much you want to put it permanently on your body, not want something permanently on your body so much you have to hurry up and find something before you turn 18. Just wait, eventually something powerful will come to you and you'll know it's what you want. And I'd vote you wait even then until you're absolutely certain.

chances you will loathe this tattoo in 20-30 years, so just go for it.. get drunk and tattoo your body with the first think that comes to your mind. might as well...

Agreed. I have 2 tats I deeply regret, I'm sad that I can't be bare skinned anymore, it looks much better and natural. I'm looking into methods of tattoo removal.

All you need is the understanding that while you might not like it eventually, you have to know to forget about regretting it. Its stupid to regret it. After its on your body, you have to know that even if you do not like it anymore, that you did at one time, and you shouldnt forget that. I say do it up while you you want to.

To be honest, I don't care if I hate it in 30 years, I want something that I'll like now, while I'm young, hopefully I'll still like it when I'm older, but there is no guarantee that you'll like any tattoo in 30 years, so I don't see the point of worrying about it.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Why would two guitar necks symbolize music, again? You need to get off of Rock music. You know deep inside it just satisfies your need of looking rad, in your own distorted way. I'm not hating, seriously.
