Ever since I was a little kid I had disturbing nightmares and images and even sleep paralysis. Last night I dreamed about someone throwing up dead baby birds and I have dreamed fiery apocolyptic ones, once I saw God in the sky and He was angry with me and there was lava ash and fire everywhere. When I have sleep paralysis I hallucinate creepy things, a boy in a dark room lit by hundered of candles chanting out of a book, my mom with no face slapping me, I even thought I talked to an evil little girl who was threatening me but laughing about it. I barely ever have good dreams.

Does anyone know how i can change this? I've tried happy thoughts, meditation, praying, etc etc.

Does anyone know why this happens or what it means?

    Thanks for listening, peace

It may be healthy to have them, if they are not bothering your sleep to much..
you have any trauma/drama associated with these people in your dream during awake life? ..

maybe to, you have been holding back in saying something to them as they control your life more in awake world, they now begin to enter your dream state and control you there also..

If so; maybe you should try and work it out with them, on the other side -dream world, you can also ofter them something to get it over with... money, gold, your blood., these things are all replaceable in this state anyway. Just give them what they what and they may move on.. / They may not.
    sweet dreams..

well... I do have a bunch of trauma and I go to counseling and stuff but it doesn't help and I never feel like it's a person bringing me down, I think it's feelings that are repressed but expressing them doesn't help

I could try to take a look at the symbolism here.
Throwing up dead birds: To me this seems like an inability to "fly" like you have troubles learning to live the life you want, so instead you get "stuck" in a place where you are not satisfied with yourself and what you have achieved. "God in the sky" would imo represent your overall values and morals and so would your faceless mother, a side of her that has become a side of your own personality. The boy with the book and the candles reminds me of when I myself attempt to learn something from reading a book. I read the same paragraph over and over and can't seem to wrap my head around the knowledge (real life, not dream).
I may be dead wrong here, but it seems from this that you may need to buckle down a bit, find out for yourself that the world does not end because you don't meet your goals, get that "mental whip" away from your back. Maybe at a point you could tell your "inner mother" that: "No, I am doing my own thing and not what you expect of me" or even your rl mother (consider this carefully though).
To wrap it up: Don't try harder, try smarter, less is more.

I have no idea what any of those dreams could mean but I used ot have nightmares and very rarely ones that involved sleep paralysis. I found that doing a visualization/meditation excercise during my waking helped. I often used music to help me daydream I guess you could say, then I would visualize myself slaying, killing, owning the same entities that haunted my nightmares.

For example you could visualize yourself transforming the spewed birds into glass birds, shattering them and sending the shards back at your enemy. In this self created realm you can be god. Eventually, with practice you will be able to do this in the middle of a nightmare but that comes with time and engraining your new super powered dream version of yourself into your subconcious mind.

Also remember to laugh like a madman if you can, at the entities attempts to frighten you when you are having one of these nightmares. 15 minutes a day is enough time for the visualization sessions. Hope this helps.

I would suggest you should write the one with God in the sky as accurately as possible, and read what it says rather than seeking an interpretation. I find writing dreams accurately often takes drafts several or many drafts.

Hey that's a good idea! Maybe there's one big reason why I'm having so many disturbing nightmares so maybe this will help me figure it out.

I also notice that I have a lot of dreams of being chased and I'm running and when I confront whatever is chasing me I come to no conclusion, there's no fight or anything, it's a stalmate and I wake up

    “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

    (Joel 2:28-29)

If God and Jesus are in a dream..

You know, a very good way to nullify dreams is to think about your fears/worries and things like that before you go to sleep. At least, it is for me. My mother told me this when I was very young and would have nightmares about clowns and things; she said to think very hard about them before sleep, as this draws them out from your subconscious, where they will lurk in your dreamspace. From the very first night I tried this, it worked like a charm! Think very hard about all the things that you can that worry or scare you, that you would not like to face etc and see if it works for you.

Overall, your dreams indicate to me that you are severely lacking fulfilment in your life, find what makes you happy (PROPER HAPPY, not just entertained like computer games) when you are awake and do it until it tires you out. Learn about the subjects you have always wanted to know about or learn a physical skill that you have wanted to/imagined yourself doing for a long time. Then your dreams will change.
