Hey there everyone, I'm a newbie to this forum as well as dreadlocks as they are only 1 and a half months old. I'm in love though I'm currently traveling through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and I was wondering if anyone knew of how I could find someone to do my dreads maintenance? I have been trying to do it myself with instructions from the internet however I must not be doing it right!!! Any assistance you could give me would be greatly appreciated...including other countries close by that you know I could get maintenance done? Hope you are having a sparkly day!
Dreadlocks Have Been The Most Maintenance Free Hairstyle Known To Mankind For Thousands Of Years...:coffee:. I Don't Understand How You Differ From That... Cheers Glen.
if you're in the netherlands i could help you but eastern europe .. no idea.. there is a german dreadlock forum, so maybe close to poland there's someone?
why are you doing "maintenance" on them? and why do you think you're not doing it right? hmmmm are they "fuzzy" and not "locking up like they're supposed to"? change your perspective and enjoy your travels instead. there is no need to work on them. they are going to be fuzzy, loose, tight, loose, tight, freaky and ugly for a long time. enjoy it.
Hey there World Peace...the road has actually brought me to Amsterdam (even though that wasn't the plan ) - I was wondering if you were available to teach me some maintenance thingys? Hope you're having a sparkle filled day!!!
you're not going to get dreads overnight, whatever your doing I'm sure is working, all you need is time and patience, they wont resemble proper dreads for at east 18 months. So kickback and enjoy your travels and put a bit of where you go in your dreads and enjoy their journey
Thanks for your responses and I do appreciate where you are coming from in relation to this - however I would like to know how to maintain my dreads so they are in a reasonably maintained state for future employment opportunities in the coming months in my chosen profession. I don't think that this is unreasonable or something for people to repeatedly state to remain ignorant of how to maintain my dreads - again thanks for your input but I know what I need to do for my chosen employment and I'm trying to balance that with having dreads (as I could get discriminated against enough as it is).
Why Not Just Walk Into The First "Hair Salon" You Come Across In The Main Street And Ask Them.....? If They Can't Do It, They Will Direct You To Someone That Can... Problem Solved... Cheers Glen.
