can anyone tell me about bend. i might have a good chance to move there before winter starts. im curious about what its like there year round for weather. i have been to bend a few times in only winter for ski and board trips. if anyone can recommend good parts of bend 30 to 45 mins from bachelor, or any information at all would be great. one of the main reasons i would like to go is because of bachelor and im in WA at the moment. but yea is it a realxed place? does it have a night life? i dont know, any information is thanks.
My friend has told me that Bend has some good night clubs. I have never checked them out yet myself. She says that Bend is really cold in the winter and can get hot in the summer.
Hi, new to your forums. Why is Bend, Oregon not mentioned on the city profiles page, and, why is it only mentioned in this thread? I'm not really a hippy ... and do not use drugs, but I am very much into the outdoors, physical fitness, vitamins, and have a sense of social justice in terms of advocating for gay rights and building more homeless shelters and communal organic farms, for artists and writers. So, I feel out of place on these forums when various forums discuss whether or not a city is tolerant of panhandling or whether or not it is snobbish. A liberal city would NOT be snobbish, and would NOT be tolerant of panhandling. Instead, they would build homeless shelters. Bend does not have homeless on the streets. Compare that to Ashland, where there is no homeless shelter. Where can I find a CLEAN city with NO drugs in public (I don't care what people do at home, and I favor legalization and liberal distribution of *MEDICAL* marijuana) ... So where can I find a place that is VERY liberal in terms of organic gardens, gay rights, and other social justice issues, without all the drugs, crime, and Elite snobbery? thanks .......
