WTF IS THIS...spiritual breakthrough while browsing hipforums

Ok, so to start off, I have been using cannabis fairly regularly (2-3 days a week) for the past 2 months so yes I guess I am a bit of a lightweight when it comes to psychedelics.

On to the VERY trippy part though. So, on my previous weed trips, when I would smoke a ton and get "too" high and go to the washroom and start sweating and close my eyes because the high was too intense, I had these weird recurring visuals. The first time it was an elephant, the second time it was an elephant with an eye in between it, and the third time it was an eye. All these visual trips had profound thoughts about life and afterlife behind them but I don't remember much, just the visuals. Keep in mind that I smoke pretty dank Canadian bud so some closed eye visuals and intense spiritual moments for me were not that surprising, given how powerful marijuana can be with a high THC content and with low tolerance.

Today I'm browsing hipforums and stumble upon THIS SHIT (a user's signature):



It's the EXACT same friggin thing I saw during my spiritual breakthrough with cannabis while extremely high. The elephant and the eye part, I mean. Same position as when I saw it, same posture, same eye location, everything.

My question is...what does this symbolize? What does it mean? What does the style of the art mean? I googled "I saw an elephant while high" right after my initial visual trips and it didn't yiled much, obviously. but this pic just hit the nail on the head...it's exactly what I've been seeing.

Any insight appreciated, thanks.

PS: According to the chinese horoscope, I was born in the year of the monkey. So it's kind of like I'm floating above what I saw. Fuck, this is weird.

 

Soon will come a time when your tolerance goes up and you will be chasing after intense highs like that.

Elephants have always represented wisdom and memory. You need to seek out wisdom. Look for a metaphorical elephant, as it were.

Eyes, by their very design, are about seeing things. I wouldn't be surprised if the drugs just messed with the signals in your brain and made an eye image. I think eyes turn up on anything when you're drugged up. But hey, look at stuff. Pay attention for a change.
