God Theories

''God is a concept, by which we measure our pain!'' John Lennon said that, and thinking about it i sort of agree. Now im no bible basher or fanatic Jedi, but i wanted to give you my opinion and hear yours.
I think existance itself is proof of a god, because things dont just exist without being created. I dont believe in a wise old man upstairs painting every leaf ect, but the fact that there are either good energys and bad ones, mainly in the people around us. Where does this energy come from? This points me to a verry basic rule of science and ultimatley God.
One of the first rules of physics is that energy is a reaction to another reaction. for example electric energy from my brain causes me to type, movement energy turns into sound energy ect. So where does life come from? and where does it eventually go? i believe its a recycling process you spend your time in the world as a living creature, human, tree, bug or whatever and are then dispearsed into the universe as a different kind of energy.
Please try to enlighten me

if there was my mother wouldnt have been stabbed 3 times in the heart by her exhusband.said exhusband wouldnt have told me not to tell my mom he was beating my brothers or he would kill her.

i wouldnt have been run over by a truck and almost killed.i wouldnt have ended up with a fuckin migraine big enough to kill a fuckin sperm whale every day of my life since i was 4 years old.i wouldnt have had a fucked up head with more mental issues than i really care to admit.

people wouldnt kill other people over a fucking religion!we wouldnt have people starving and dieing from diseases.i could keep going.

if there was a god that "loved all his children" the world wouldnt be so god damned fucked up like it is!!!

 

There are many things about our existence that is not comprehensible to the finite mind. "Things don't exist without being created" yes this is true, but what created God? Our questions about the universe can be answered by inserting the idea of a creator. Humans have barely cracked the surface to reality just as we know it alone, we believe the universe is infinite but what is infinite? Something that never stops expanding has to be moving from one place to another right? Try to grasp that thought, if it is infinite, how can it expand without having an end? There are things out there so great it would break our perception of reality just to learn about it.

 

Isha Muslim prayer is right about now for the evening est.. I be thankful for life, don't really care where the life comes from..

Thanks for your opinions. We will never find out the true answers to what life and existance really means, or comes from. Or what actual reality really is, as everyone and everything else has its own different actual reality happening in one moment.
Im sure ill never find the answers of the multiverse, and neither will anyone on here. But its good fun to ponder these questions after a pineapple blunt.

What we see as God is mans invention- for the purpose of controlling the masses. This does not mean God doesn't exist- but it suggests that if God does exist, humanity has little concept of who he/she/it really is; this is the way it is supposed to be.

 

God is ... whatever you have FAITH in - methinks

 

we are all god, everything is,the whole universe, existance itself, every last atom that makes up physycal existance. God is not a being but a sequence of reactions occuring, good or bad.

Do we have a purpose?? or is human existance merely a coincidental evolutionary leap???

I posted this in another thread but I feel its relative here too. It's an abstract theory:

I believe aliens could be involved; if there big shit to go down in 2012, there are just so many unknown anomalies across our earth that have too many coincidences. In general, all of the ancient people since the Sumerians have been in contact with our "unknown" beings since the were alive. They came from the sky, and there is their idea of God, which all religions have many similarities in creation and such.

I've been watching Ancient Aliens lol, I can't wait for season 3

 

The universe makes more sense without a god than with one.

 

There are those who feel the exact opposite.

 

It would be nice if we could have a conversation with another life form outside of this planet to get some insight into the subject because it seems humans just run in circles over the god debate like a dog chasing its tail.

It doesn't make any sense to think their are no other life forms outside of this planet and no god whatsoever and the only living thing with a conscious mind is on this little blue planet. I have my moments where i don't believe, but i have others that makes me feel their must be a god of some kind. If you step back and question every things existence, and ask yourself, why? Everything is far to complicated...some being or something must have the answers.

I don't believe existence starts from nothing. The idea is just too much to grasp. I know the glass i hold is made out of meterials and that those were made from something from something. The building block of everything comes down to the first source. How did that first source come into the picture? No way was it just their, it had to come from something. If so though, why, and how? What was the first source that started everything that we now know as the universe, stars, moons, and chicken meat. Its a total mind fuck when you really dig deep and think about it.

If god did start it all why would he? What is the purpose? Can someone please explain why all my neighbors drive the same car?

 

I have seen that show too Travis, it does a nice job giving an overview of the whole ancient alien concept.

There is so much that could be aliens in the texts. But they are not "god". At times they may have claimed to be, but technology does not make a god.

No matter how you look at it god is a man made concept.
It's simply a reflection of our self awareness, self hatred, narcissism, arrogance and fear.
Belief in god is pretty much our acceptance of the above but unwillingness to admit it.
