Hello... yes this may sound silly but... My band is having trouble thinking up a name. Used to be Dreamed Awake, before that Return to This... But we need something better, something different, new, more memorable.. Something that stands out.. I'm flipping through the dictionary just trying to find a word that isn't taken by another band's lyrics, album names, songs, etc... But that's hard... Something that sounds strong and , well, interesting... Could anyone possibly help me out?
Ask yourself what YOUR music means to you - the name should express that. the name you choose and the music/band should have some sort of tangible relationship there. It's you right? so call it you Scenario: The beatles thinking about what they should call themselves, getting frustrated. John: I don't know Ringo, what does this all mean to you George: John you know the far east would express that question through zen, not so direct like you put it there man Paul: Well George, then answer that question as well what are we gonna tell Dick Clark? Ringo: You blokes are acting like a bunch of bloody buggers for christ sake John: Did you just call us beatles Ringo? Geoge and Paul: The Beatles, yeah your right haha, my imagination is rather active at the moment
I've always said that if I ever had a band that fit the name, I'd name it Electrical Banana after that 60s song Mellow Yellow. "Electrical banana, is bound to be the very next phase. They call it mellow yellowwwww." Or something like that. But it's all up to you and things that you and your band like.
