Canadian Television.

I hate it. So much.

About 80% of our TV is American, and then with the other 20%, about 5% is news and 15% is crappy TV shows that NO ONE LIKES. Other countries have awesome TV, like the British...Why does Canada have such poor quality programs, exactly?

I used to watch YTV and it was really good back when I was kid.. but now all cartoons suck.. Adult Swim is good, but I dont think you get that in Canada... Royal Canadian Air Farce not the funny.. Kids in the Hall though Hilarious... So I think its give or take

 

It's funny in the San Francsico Bay Area ther is a station that used to show Canadian TV shows from 10 or 15 years ago and I totally dug it. They used to do a block Regenesis (it's weird seeing Ellen Page befor she was Hollywood's "IT" Girl), Davinci's Inquest, Davinci's City Hall, Cold Squad, And one other one with a sniper I can't remember. Also PBS shows The Red Green Show.
Any I really liked them.

well around here we have our own dirty little secret. it is called cinemax or more correctly skina max he he its on every late night here in the states.
Somehow i think there must be hundreds or thousands of people male or female sitting around blazing and munching out! he he he

Showtime latenight had a bunch of softcore they used to play. There was a show called "Red Shoe Diaries" hosted by David Duchoveny about 15 or 20 years ago. I actually saw Matt Le Blanc from Friends on an episode playing a Bike Messenger. There was one scene of him banging a secretary on his way up in an elevator.

Wasn't it Second City that used to say "Bet he'd blow up real good"! That was a great show. Guess that blow up stuff wouldn't go over so well today.

 

It is admittedly terrible. This Hour Has 22 minutes was funny. Nothing beats the sheer bizarreness of the Polkaroo though.

 

We get all of American TV shows plus EXTRA Canadian stuff you don't have to watch so why hate it?

Our Discovery Channel is better and more geared toward science.

We get more uncensored shows; our comedy channel, "shit piss fuck", their Comedy Central, "BEEP piss BEEP", our Much Music "I got my hash pipe", their MTV " I got my ____ pipe". Yes, I actually heard MTV blank out the word HASH with my own two ears! We still actually have music videos too.

We have way more variety with the mix of Canadian and American. What's on Comedy Central in the states? The 3 red neck tour guys for the 200'th time or some censored old move for the 100th time...

Our pay per view porn is better, in some states you get only a couple lame porn channels that can't show the "happy ending".

We've had funny shit the US has never seen, Four on the floor, air farce, just for laughs, rick mercer, keven spencer, internet slutts, comedy now, trailer park boys, kids in the hall, red green, and of course Mr dressup...

 

Corner Gas... I'm not going to lie, I don't hate it.

Degrassi is painful though, at least the 2000's one is. I remember being in middle school and watching the 80's Degrassi dubbed in french.

I thought that Polkaroo never made it out of Canada but my UK friends watched it when they were kids too lol

I actually liked the Mike Bullard show when that was on too

 

I started off not liking the Mike Bullard show but quite often it was the only thing on and so it grew on me over time to the point that I very much enjoyed it. Stockholm syndrome?

 

But don't Canadians have the duo of Terrence and Philip?

 

Ellen Pages career peaked on "The Trailer Park Boys".
