Vi ontem o "Alexandre, o Grande" mas estava à espera de melhor...
Alguém já viu a "Costa dos Murmurios"?
Mal posso esperar é pela estreia do "Fantasma da Ópera"!!!

and the problem is that here in Spain we don't see any Portuguese movies and i don't know if you import any spanish movie but i suppose that you don't, so we cannot speak about our movies, it's sad.

Hey Migle! "Costa dos Murmurios" is a portuguese movie, but the others aren't, here are the translations in case you didn't understand:"Alexander, the great", "The Phantom of the Opera"

nao faz mal pela portugues, eu acho que percebei toudo, hehehe still bad portuguese...

well, thanks Catinha for the explanation about "Costa dos Murmurios" ;), i'd like so much if i could see more european cinema, cause i don't know if i've seen any portuguese movie.

And i knew about Alexander (in Spanish "Alejandro Magno"), but i don't know if it's gonna be another mega-production made in hollywood, cause although it's made by Oliver Stone, who deserves all my respect, i think it's another "made in hollywood" movie (but it's just my little opinion)

And finally, about Hable con ella (Talk to her) it's my favourite Almodovar's movie, i watched it in its release at cinemas and i got out of the cinema very impressed and really affected by the movie. I don't know if you are familiarized with Almodovar's movies, but he is actually the most important Spanish director, he has been awarded twice in the Oscar's and his movies are very popular abroad. His last movie "La mala educación" (the bad education) in my opinion is not so good as Hable con ella, but it's also a very interesting movie.

    Beijos.

Migle there's an 'old' spanish movie that is sooooo funny called 'Boca A Boca', and another spanish movie that I once saw is about psycho people in a cinema school, I don't remember its name but it was about violence, it was impressive... (ô_O)

Vou alugar agora dois filmes de que gostei, 'Gato Preto, Gato Branco' e 'Os Sonhos de Akira Kurosawa', é uma vergonha mas agora não me lembro de um filme português... :&

Yep, Boca a boca is funny and the other one you tell about seems to be "Tesis" by Alejandro Amenábar, it was his first movie, a very good thriller in my opinion, and the director is nowadays one of the best directors here in Spain, the other movies he did were "Abre los ojos", "Los otros" and "Mar adentro", and some data:
-Tom Cruise was so impressed with "Abre los ojos" that he bought the rights and made the remake "Vanilla sky" which is a very bad copy of Abre los ojos in my opinion. And then Tom Cruise also helped Amenabar producing "Los otros".
-And "Mar adentro", his last movie is the Spanish movie which is going to compete on the 2004 Oscars awards, and it tells the real story of Ramon Sampedro, from Galicia, who killed himself because he was tetraplejico (yes, the Spanish word, but i don't know it in English :& ) and he wanted to die but he wasn't alloud to practise euthanasia, and finally a person helped him to die. It was a real story that impacted very deeply the Spanish society in 1998.
Anyway, i recommend Amenabar's movies if you have the chance to see them.

Yeah mihle that's the one I was talking about, Tesis, I knew it was something started with T... and the title appeared in big red letters. I also tought it was very good. I haven't seen Vanilla Sky, and I don't know all the other 3 movies by Alejandro Amenábar, but thanks a lot for the tip since I prefer to rent movies, I'll rent it one of these days :)

Ye, o 'gato preto gato branco' é o filme mais divertido k já vi, parto-m a rir e a graça está mesmo na conjugação da banda sonora com o filme, adoro música e dança :)

Jamira... let me just say this...
Modern spanish movies are probably THE BEST these days. I've seen a lot of them. Now-a-days I only watch european movies and some independent amercian ones; I think that those are the REAL cinema. The rest is kindof shitty, we GOTTA admit...

But, as I said before, now-a-days spanish movies are simply SUPERB. Thank goodness the portuguease ones are getting as good as yours, modern, different and intelligent.
    :D

well, European cinema is growing, and more than European, Spanish cinema is growing faster, because when we didn't have a cinema industry, France and Germany had it developed, and now it's growing but as any other industry, in spain now they're making a lot of shit copying american teenagers cinema and shit like that, there are not so many great movies, but there are some very good and recent movies worth seeing. Directors like Amenabar, Almodovar, Medem, Trueba, Iciar Bollain, Fernando León de Aranoa, and some others new directors.
Kitaro, tell me some of the movies you've seen and we can talk about them and give some ideas to the rest.
And Jamira, i assure i'll watch it as soon as my eMule gets it, hehe.

    Hugs
