does anyone else experience bad trips while tripping with certain people?

whenever this friend trips with me i can't help but feel like he's got the wrong idea; all he wants to do is lay around and watch movies. it's like come on man! get up and explore the real world out around you!

might just be a bad personality trait i'm usually anxious and easily affected by my environment.

I understand what you mean some peoples energy i dont like to be around whilst tripping............

But saying that if you want to enjoy it in large crowds you have to deal with those situations..............

I agree with tripping around certain people can be very akward/uncomfortable. But I disagree with the judgment of that person wanting to stay inside. Every person is different. Sometimes even I'm not feeling it. Depends how lit I am or what type of experience I'm looking for. Either way personally the outdoors is for sure the right place to be. :)

yea in my opinion watching a movie is one of the worst things you can do during a trip, unless its on the comedown.

for like almost a year or two whenever i tripped with one of my good friends i would just get really chaotic vibes, his influence on the trip was a bit much. its kind of toned down, i could probably trip with him nowadays. never had that happen with anyone else though.

i get that alot at concerts as well. being in such a confined space around so many people. being outdoors helps, or if the show is at a festival.

maybe the problem is you're trying to tell your friend how to have his own psychedelic trip?

This has happened to me before. My friend loves to do this, we'll take LSD and he'll hang for an hour, then try to convince me to watch sports center.

Mr. Writer I understand your comment but I just feel differently. As you kind of implied a trip is what anyone would like to make of it, no judgement. At the same time I do not think that LSD should be used as a recreational "weed" drug to zone out and use you know? thats just me though :2thumbsup:

Same thing happened to me. She wants to sit at the computer and watch "WATCH THIS WHILE YOU TRIP" videos on Youtube, I want to go deep into a forest.. :) That's why I trip alone now.

I have been in room in a ++++ state in complete tantric union with the universe, while my four friends tripping on the same amount of substance are completely absorbed by basketball game on the TV.

I literally had to shut my external senses off in order to not be distracted by their mundane talk of #42 just made 2 baskets, etc etc.

I wanted to take them with me, tell them, turn that off, close your eyes and see whats inside of you!!

You just have to allow them to enjoy their trip, let them see the magic in their own way. Sooner or later a light will flicker, and hopefully they'll shut the tv for a min and follow that light.

No, I wouldn't trip with someone I don't get off on being with. It could be just some disconnect (fuck no, I wouldn't watch 1 minute of sports TV or actually any other TV I can think of) or it could be something like I knew one person that when I was tripping I saw how sleek and shiny and false he was and I was just repelled.

I'm fine with some groups of people.

If you're gonna trip you should worry about what you wanna do, you have zero control over what someone else wants to do so if you wanna have a good time, do your own thing. If you're in a safe environment then just do your own shit. Not everyone wants to have the same trip, or if they do they take a different route. Just have a good time

I haven't tripped since high school, but I remember that all the weird vibes I got off my friends just enhanced the experience. Some of them would be kinda dark and uncomfortable though.

Once, my controlling mother came and found me and forced me to come home. My brother and sister (they were 3 & 5) were like animals. Like squirrels climbing my body and they were relentless and would not allow me to escape. I'm pretty sure they were actually acting different than usual, like they could sense I was tripping. Or more like they got some kind of psychic contact trip.

Anybody else seen little kids act different around a person that's tripping?

Re psychedelics, quite a few people say something like, "This was the greatest experience of my life." I doubt anyone would say that after tripping through a baseball game or around sports fans. I'm not saying everyone has to be on the same wavelength or whatever, but it makes no sense at all to trip around anyone who doesn't support or amplify your own trip - and vice versa. For me, it's not about sensation or fun (though those are often operational), it's about beauty, truth, numinousness, enlightenment, and so on.

    Fisticuffs?
