saw one on BBC4 on the history of mathematics last night. Gauss came up as the Mr Big of the maths world, now known as the Prince of Mathematicians. He did work on number theory as well as lots of other stuff. Newton was also mentioned for his discovery of differential calculus, though Leibniz discovered it independently and his methodology is now the preferred one. It provided a theoretical basis to allow the development of all modern technology. them mathematicians have got big brains innit
The money masters. It pretty much explains how the world bankers and the rothschilds are manipulating the markets by creating boom and busts in order to gain control of whole nations. Also how theyve been financing both sides in wars going back through history and manipulating stock markets. Was a good documentary. About 6 or 7 years old and it predicted the 'credit crunch' thats going on today. Its pretty long and sometimes a bit boring but on whole its a real eye opener.
Zeitgeist Addendum. From IMDB: ''Zeitgeist Addendum, attempts to locate the root causes of this pervasive social corruption, while offering a solution. This solution is not based on politics, morality, laws, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, but rather on a modern, non-superstitious based understanding of what we are and how we align with nature, to which we are a part. The work advocates a new social system which is updated to present day knowledge, highly influenced by the life long work of Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project.'' It was a real eye opener of a documentary, unlike many it didnt just criticize but also offered solutions. I'd really recommend it!
Richard Hammond's Journey to the Centre of the Earth... That, or Mythbusters, although can you class that as a documentary?
A David Attenborough evolution thing. It was pretty good, nicely put together. Before that we watched one about what may have happened before the big bang, which was pretty poor and a bit irritating, and one on chaos theory, which was awesome.
"All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace" by Adam Curtis. I've only watched the first one which made Bill Clinton out to be way more innocent than he really is.
im pretty sure it was a BBC documentary called "How to go out of your mind": The LSD Crisis.... its a really good documentary even if you dont use LSD, they talk about the establishment and why they dont want you to experiment with you state of consciousness...really good documentary
Can't remember, it was really interesting though. Before that I watched Gasland, it was also really interesting and informative. Just about to watch this now, about how prime numbers spuriously turn up in nature. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b012xppj/The_Code_Numbers/
A Ross Kemp thing about street crime, drug cartels and murder in Juarez in Mexico. It's part of his new series (well new to me anyway). Interesting, looking forward to seeing what else he's going to be covering.
What would a homeless man do with 100 thousand dollars? I learned he would rent a house and furniture then buy 2 girls he met at a bar 2 trucks and then smoke the rest up in crack.
