Rite @ this moment I don't see y the wabash river couldn't be floated down. It bein still warm weather, &all. Noth@his would be a fancy gig &all. Besides flotation devices would hafta be skeeredup. Thiswas supposed 2,vebeen planned earlier this yr. This wouldbe excellent prelude 2 th vicinity(plz note th disclaimer)of shawnee regional. For a hopefully partial explanation of all this plz see my thread:"new project". Just a thot, perhaps could be done in spring if not now. There may be other waterwaze in yer vicnity in which this could be done. Gigs don't hafta be done on land, I guess it's jes safer & easier. Sry I tend 2 ramble, but sum thangs nd xtra 'splainin.
Hi K. Wabash usually runs fast and deep. Her tributaries - Eel and Mississinewa are shallow and slow because of the dams. I'm right here by all three rivers. I heard the Salvation Army is going to do a canoe aid cruise soon. Searching out homeless and bridge dwellers. I dont know what to think about that. As long as the cops aren't involved and they pass out useful items.

Always rite on time u are. An individual I was kindasorta acquainted with was puttin this gig on. This waybak in feb or march(notsure abt actual dates) I first abt it. His plan wuz 2 float the entire wabash. I put some info on it on "new project". I was kinda exicted abt it cuz wabash ends up in the shawnee nf vicinity. He had planned to have drumcircles on sandbars. Prettymuch same idea as I,d had all these yrs. & he was gonna do this on other rivers durin th sumer. What I,d planned was after the float, then rent a boatslip on kentucky lk(which I may still do). & if ne1 was interested in continuin this concept, merge it into a southern floatrip. This way it woulda been nowhere th time of shawnee. Which alotta ppl freakout abt, so I,ve never got much done cuz of it. Anhue this individual weirded out on me. He changed his screename several times. This wall on www.rainbowgatherings.ning.com . He even started a group on there specifically aimed @ this event. In his latest screenmae incarnation I sent him friend request so I could ask wots the deal bro/m8? Well he did accept my friend request but no word yet. He wanted 2 keep this a very quiet float & probably didn't understand my concept of doin something after his float. He didn't hafta have anything 2 do with it. I guess he was worried Id invite 2 many ppl 2 th float or something. & bak the I even had a folding bike I was gonna carry along. He had or still has a really nice raft. Had a grt name 4 her too. I can't recall it @moment. Looked like would haul 800 lbs.
She's a excellent river to float. Good speed and depth. Nice. Was it a dingy type raft. Like a white water rubber type boat? I think that would be perfect for river floats. Pack a lot of gear. The downside is getting holes and losing air.
