Ramble, I'm curious about your conversion. There must have been a point which you became unsure about all this to being totally 100% sure. How did that come about?

As I've said before I was brought up an Atheist. In household lead by a disgruntled Catholic dad who in his adult years turned away from the good news of Christ. He never talked of him. I was at odds and against truth for a long while, though I never knew.

And like so many others in the world I scummed to the lies of the world, fell victim to their agendas. And at that time and up to about 5 months ago I was completely programmed by the tools of indoctrination, as felt that all around us: in Public schools, Public Universities and their text books, professors teaching said lies, consolidation of the media culture into a few hands of Humanist with agendas and their message of inverse Christianity to immorality and sin. I felt this in every facet, fabric and expectation of life, in exposure of everything: Music, social expectations, world views, radio, TV, movies, children's books, toys, clothing and style...ect.

But even though I was going through all that, and like so many others, I felt a special pride in that I was not held accountable to anything other than myself, for I was taught and brain washed into believing that I evolved and will evolve into a God. That morality was decided by me, and even more, that our human existence was complete random chance...I felt smart in knowing the rhetoric of Evolution and the common gossip and celebrity status it had. In short, I was completely and successfully turned from God and I felt amazing about it, like so many other lost souls. I accepted the mentality that "THEY" will fix it, THEY will discover it, THEY will tell me it, THEY will discern it in the name of science, THEY will think for me. In short, THEY will decide how I will live ...in every way. And I loved it, because in the humanist view point, "for the good of all" (that is very dangerous Evolution highlights this).

Growing older, I sensed, smelled and felt beyond these lies. Enter the NWO (new world order). I started looking at the organizations, institutions, ideologies, theories, catalysts and other means of influence and control that held me responsible for the feelings of emptiness I had. And it's interesting enough, even at these low times, I felt that BILLIONS of years ago, we had it right. That we lived in harmony and that now, today, we were responsible for it. A burden. Parasites to the Earth, and that we are over populated. Even then, still in the dark, I knew the plan was to depopulate and grid lock into a slavery of anti liberty...but still I did not get the whole picture.

Later I knew that these very same vehicles of indoctrination and propagandas were running deep and pumping to sustain the power of their deceitfulness in our lives. And doing everything in their power to maintain this matrix, at all costs. Organizations such as the U.N., trilateral commission, Councils on foreign Relations, Royal Institute for International Affairs, The Bilderbergers, Illuminati and more, many more, and were all in collusion in planning our society to their plans according to the humanist agendas they felt were proper with the elitist think tanks.

So, a few months ago, looking for truth that was so burning in me so often; I came across a Christians You Tube channel. He spit the truths concerning the NWO as I understood them and I deemed him to be right (surly you know by now, if I don't think one is in truth or right I'll let him know). I agreed with him, and I watched all his videos in a fever of interest- I noticed he was also a Christian. And it's note worthy to say at this time I was also living outside in a fifth wheel camper, with basic to no provisions. And call me, sitting there was a Bible in it! IT took me.

I opened up to the Gospel of John and read...My body was buzzing, My face wet in tears. Later, by a few days, I learned that I was sent the Holy Spirit at that point in time. By God and everything clicked. The Christians You tube Channel (fizban1977) was the pushing drive, catalyst and the moment in time God finally called me. He made me ready through a tough trial and yet they continue.

My foundation is strudy. Christ is the only way. The truth will set you free.

    Your brother in Christ. Amen.

There's a happy medium, you know. You don't have to be extremist one way or the other. It's possible to believe in God and still think critically.

Thinking in God , through Christ is the only way to think critically. Evolutionist, humanist and other heavens think critically not. Rather by the very devices meant to take them away from their father. I tell you the truth.

By professing to "know" absolute truth, and claiming your way is the only way, you are displaying a terrible inability to think critically.

Actually not, I'm displaying the righteousness that is in the body of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who through him and by him truth is given. Critically and spiritually through Christ who strengths me, I can do all things.

Do you believe all other religions are erroneous?

Do you believe God hates anyone, homosexuals, etc?

I would consider it, but you'll have to promise not to talk in abstractions.

    In your own words,
How and when and from WHAT the King James Bible came about

The Gunpowder Plot of 1605 was a failed assassination attempt against King James by a group of provincial English Catholics led by Robert Catesby.

Their plan was to blow up the House of Lords during the State Opening of Parliament in 1605, it was to be a prelude to a popular revolt in the Midlands during which James's nine-year-old daughter, Princess Elizabeth, was to be made as the Catholic head of state. Catesby undertook the scheme after hopes of securing greater religious tolerance from King James had failed, leaving many English Catholics disappointed.

Details of the assassination attempt were said to be known by the principal Jesuit of England, Father Henry Garnet. Garnet was convicted and sentenced to death. However, doubt has persisted on how much he really knew of the plot. Its existence was told to him in confession. As such Garnet was prevented from informing the authorities by the absolute confidentiality of the confessional. As a result of the Gunpowder Plot severe anti-Catholic legislation was instated.

The creation of the King James bible was and remains anti-catholic and political. Without a doubt it's a masterpiece of Jacobean prose. But the "accepted books" and subsequent translations was not done for religious merit but for political advantage.

The Gunpowder plot, which was the triggering event to the creation of the protestant bible, was about as divinely inspired as the suicide bombers of today. Unless of course, you're prepared to say that God works through terrorists. Albeit, we do claim he works in mysterious ways.

I live in one of the worst bible belts in this nation and thank God I went to law school. There was a time that not a single week would go by that I didn't have to deal with some fat holy roller trying to King James me into obedience.

Let's try one of my favorite points of history fact about King James.

    He was probably bisexual.

King James always had close relationships with male courtiers, which has been a source of debate amongst historians. Restoration of Apethorpe Hall in 2004–2008, revealed an unknown passage linking the bedchambers of James and George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham. Many of his biographers concluded that Esmé Stewart (Duke of Lennox), Robert Carr (Earl of Somerset), and George Villiers (Duke of Buckingham) were his lovers

The probability that James engaged in homosexual relations has left its mark on modern day colloquialism. The expression of referring to a gay male as a "queen" comes from contemporary epigram Rex fuit Elizabeth, nunc est regina Jacobus (Elizabeth was King, now James is Queen).

Think about that next time you see a "Queen" walking down the street. Because after all, she might not be gay and just a fan of King James.

KJV Matthew 6:1 Be careful not to do righteous things in front of men so they can see what you are doing. Otherwise, you won't have a reward with your Father
Catholic Isaiah 64:6 All our righteous acts are like filthy menstrual rags
Catholic Romans 3:10 : No one is righteous, not even one.
Protestants, separated from the (Roman) Church teach that humans are by nature depraved, sinful, and wicked. (This is the point that all those fire-and-brimstone preachers have tried to make for the past three hundred years. But it isn't so; that's not part of Christian teaching)

In glaring contrast, the Catholic Catechism goes into great detail, and takes great pains, to explicitly spell out something quite different. Because the wording is long and the phraseology is such that only theologians might fully grasp its complete meaning, we will provide much simpler supporting statements as they appear in two other approved Catholic works...

But note that original sin only changed man's state; it didn't change human nature. People were made in the image and likeness of God and created good; people can act badly, but people are by nature good.

When Catholics say that mankind's state has been changed, they say this is why we suffer consequences for sin and live in a fallen world. By saying mankind's nature is still good they imply, at least theoretically, that an individual could live a perfect (good) life. This duality appears to be a late 'clarification' as some Catholic documents, carried forward over the years, speak of a fallen human nature. Which now appears to be held synonymous with fallen state.

So when a Catholic tells you that mankind is sinful, they are merely saying mankind has the potential to sin. This versus a Protestant, who says mankind has no choice but to sin apart from Jesus Christ. The results of the Catholic view show themselves most clearly in their doctrines concerning salvation.

    In conclusion,
My bible is bigger than your bible. :biggrinjester:

First, I just wanted to say I've found your posts to be somewhat speculative but still quite entertaining but then history is almost always somewhat speculative.
I guess my beliefs about sin fall somewhere in the middle.

I also believe that man is in a state of sin but that very nature makes it much easier to be bad than good.

It was pointed out to me one time, that if you were to read a Scripture and view a wicked image on the same day, a month later you probably won't remember which Scripture it was, let alone what it said but a year later the wicked image can still be vividly recalled and that is because of the fact man is in a state of sin.

In other words, Man is a sinner but that does not mean that through concerted effort he can't avoid a practice of sin.

And just how would you know how big my Bible is? :toetap05:

What if my Bible also has pictures, puzzles and some pictures you can color yourself, plus foldouts. :toetap05:
